Al-Quds Day: A day in the memory Al Manar TV hat tip wolf warrior
Quds Day is held each year on the last Friday of Muslims' fasting month of Ramadan after it was named as such by the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, as a day to voice the protest of the Islamic Ummah against the brutality of the Zionist regime. On this day, Muslims in the world demonstrate that the oppressed Palestinian people are not alone. The day falls on October 5 this year. “The US loses all opportunities to cooperate with regional and other world states by trying to support a regime (the Zionist regime) which is now at its weakest political and social position”, Iranian government spokesman, Gholam-Hossein Elham, said. He warned that Washington’s insistence on its wrong policies and arrogant approaches would have no result “but further political disgrace” for itself. Referring to the approaching World Quds Day, the spokesman stressed “supporters of the Zionist regime will definitely receive the final response for their support on that day.” Chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said rallies on the Quds Day are the most important support to Palestinians. In an iftar ceremony with orphans, Rafsanjani told reporters: "The world should understand that the Islamic world will never forget Palestine and the participation of the people on the rallies marking this day has a significant effect on the morals of the Palestinians. On the same day, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will deliver a speech through giant screens in Beirut's southern suburb at (1730GMT).
Ah, finally something we can agree on - the world does not understand the Islamic world. They couldn't give a fig about the Palis. It's all about Arab imperialism and the coming caliphate under a pax islamica. Allah FUbar.
