Alright let's recap now, shall we? As Wolf put it to me so succinctly, the knowledge of watching a major 'train wreck' about to occur and not being able to prevent it is the worst of it. It's no coincidence that Al Qaeda has already brought out three video's in a month, the assassination in Lebanon, bomb threats against schools in two separate states, etc... no to mention Carter actively and knowingly seeks the destruction of Israel. Carter is responsible for legitimizing terror along with his 'dead buddy' Arafat. Yes, this man is responsible for the fall of the Shah and everything that has occurred since. Nice long list. If anyone should be indicted, he should be for 'terrorist crimes' against HUMANITY...
The New York Times hosts Ahamdinejad for lunch. ..... and further Wolf writes, 'when you see the total ignorance of the majority of Americans, do you really believe they are capable of making logical and moral decisions? I mean a supposedly educated Dean of Columbia University is a case in point. Should this man even be the head of what used to be one of the most respected University's before it descended into a lack of moral integrity and hired people like Edward Said and the current crop of Islamists and extreme left professors? The UN's continued immoral behaviour of making a terrorist state Chair of Nuclear Weapons!! It's like having a rapist chair a rape crisis centre or the head of the KKK being the head of the Martin Luther King Museum! I mean if this weren't so tragic and disturbing, it would be comical. "
Al Qaeda Leaders Release New Videos
Christian Science Monitor
Al Qaeda intensified its propaganda campaign Thursday by issuing its third video since the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. In a lengthy commentary, Al Qaeda second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahiri urged Muslims to fight the United States and its allies, targeting the prospect of African Union and United Nations peacekeepers in Darfur. Later on Thursday, Al Qaeda released a new recording of Osama bin Laden declaring war on Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and Pakistan's Army. The latest video is an 80-minute compilation of old audio clips from bin Laden and Western analysts, interspersed with narration by Al Qaeda leaders, such as Dr. Zawahiri and Mustafa al-Yazid, known as Sheikh Saeed, reports Reuters...Zawahiri also called on Muslims in Sudan to fight African Union and UN peacekeepers in war-torn Darfur, saying that Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir had abandoned his Muslim brothers and no longer deserved their protection. This is not the first time that Al Qaeda has called for a jihad against international peacekeepers in Darfur. Last year, Zawahiri made a similar call to arms. In July, the Sudan Tribune reported on the alleged links between Al Qaeda and the Sudanese government. Citing classified documents, the Tribune reported that the Sudanese government had "decided to lift restriction on Al Qaeda members in the country in return for their help in fighting peacekeepers in Darfur."
Three's a charm?

The videos were to coincide with attacks in Denmark, Germany, and Turkey that were to have taken place by 9/15, all three of which have been thwarted. (see: http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/mt/archives/013425.php)
I agree with Ed: these videos were meant to intimidate the West in the wake of major attacks. Instead, they've made themselves look silly. Most of their A-list members are dead or in Guantanamo, so they're relying on B-list yokels and C-list converts, and our success in breaking up their operations has shown just how much damage we've done to al-Qaeda.
Not that we shouldn't take the threat from al-Qaeda seriously --we damn well should-- but I disagree that these videos are signals to launch attacks. Instead, they were meant to take advantage of triumphs; in the end, Bin Laden, Zawahiri, and their associated medieval lunatics just made themselves look bad.
(Especially with that stupid dye-job on the facial fuzz.)

Hi
The Al Qaeda guys have an ad on the net for suicide bombers to attack Denmark.
This is after three failed home grown plots.
They did not get to the stage of being attacks. This has resulted in ideas like I was only playing or making fireworks, it is normal to have videos of people having their heads cut off(he compared this to pweople colloecting action films.) This was actually said in the defense of the latest group to go to trial.
The last plot was stopped with help from the US security services.
