What:  Rally by students from Columbia and dozens of other organizations.
When: 12:30 - 3 p.m.
Where: NYC: Outside Columbia University at W. 116th St. and Broadway- only people with Columbia student IDs will be allowed on campus.  The main protest will happen on Broadway on public space next to the building where Ahmadenijad is speaking, so even non Columbia people can protest at this event.

Well, Pamela - I didn't expect it but Bollinger didn't exactly give Ahmadikkewad a welcoming reception. Where else has he been given such a direct telling off as a "petty and cruel dictator". Among other gems, "You are either brazenly provocative or astonishingly uneducated," Bollinger said about the leader's Holocaust denial. "Will you cease this outrage?"

I would also note that Bollinger was one of the first, and the most outspoken University president, to lambast the recent British boycott of Israeli academics.

Pam, I've been looking for you on Israeli TV but nothing yet. And as for that short little guy with the bomb, I think he's Jewish. Every tough question he gets, he answers - with another question! Isn't that a Jewish characteristic? But, of course, the questioners are only prepped to ask the opening question and have no comeback. Like the fellow who asked about the Holocaust and he Achmi answers "but why do the Pals. have to pay for the Holocaust, assuming it took place?" but the point is that the MUfti El-Husseini not only curried favor with Hitler in the 30s to rebel against the British and the Jews, not only joined the Nazi-funded revolt in Iraq in 1941 and not only flew to Berlin and raised a Muslim Bosnian Wehrmacht unit (etc., etc.) but his policies led the Beritish to close the gates to the Mandate in their White Paper thus causing millions of Jews to find themselves with no where to go except to concentration camps. So the Pals. actually are partially responsible for the Holocaust.
