FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN BRUSSELS. This is astonishing.
I just returned home from the anti-Islamization demonstration in Brussels. The Belgian police beat up the peaceful demonstrators in what even the Belgian public television call "an extremely violent fashion." Here are some video images. The grey-haired man whom we see being attacked by the police first is Luk Van Nieuwenhuysen, the Vice-President of the Flemish Parliament. Shortly afterwards we see the police maltreating Frank Vanhecke, a member of the European Parliament and the party leader of the Vlaams Belang. We see how he is handcuffed and pushed into a police bus. Afterwards we also see the police "taking care" of Filip Dewinter, the VB group leader in the Flemish Parliament. We see how his arm gets caught between the closing doors of the bus. An Italian MEP and a French MEP were also arrested. The demonstrators were kept in cells for seven hours and released this evening. Paul Belien, Brussels Journal
Will he still be able to sire heirs? Ouch. The indispensable Ralph weighs in;
The Fwench (Peace be upon them) have the colorful expression of "pisser dans une contrebasse" when they mean to say "too little, too late"
That would make a fine description for today's Brussels 9/11 demo that I had cautioned you against attending. 20,000 were supposed to participate. 200 showed up, of which 156 were arrested. The demo had not been authorized by the AUTHORITIES with regard and in deference to the muslim constituency of the Belgian Socialists around Fat Fuck Thielemans.

The Demo in Brussels By Baron Bodissey
A news video in Italian from Corriere Della Sera TV: “Manifestazione anti-Islam, fermato Borghezio”.
Hat tip: insubria.
Kim of Uriasposten sent us two screenshots from Danish public television news. The caption on the top image reads “Brussels: 50 arrested in demonstration.”
Kim said (this was much earlier today):
Two caps from Danish MSM (DR Update) a few minutes ago.
They remembered that the demo was illegal, and on Radioavisen (DR) they said that the demo was against a “postulated Islamization”…
When far-left riots DR is never that critical.

His post led me to these two photos, both of them from Reuters/France Lenoir.
The man held in a headlock in the second photo is Frank Vanhecke, the Vlaams Belang president.
