Tancredo gets it. Why wouldn't we consider attacking the enemy where it would have most effect?
Tancredo: U.S. Should Threaten Islamic Holy Sites
CBS4 Denver(AP) WASHINGTON Republican presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo says the best way he can think of to deter a nuclear terrorist attack on the U.S. is to threaten to retaliate by bombing Islamic holy sites.
The Colorado congressman on Tuesday told about 30 people at a town hall meeting in Osceola, Iowa, that he believes such a terrorist attack could be imminent and that the U.S. needs to hurry up and think of a way to stop it.
"If it is up to me, we are going to explain that an attack on this homeland of that nature would be followed by an attack on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina," Tancredo said at the Family Table restaurant. "Because that's the only thing I can think of that might deter somebody from doing what they otherwise might do."
Mecca and Medina, in Saudi Arabia, are Islam's holiest cities. All able-bodied Muslims are required to make a pilgrimage there at least once in their lives. Tancredo's comments were recorded and posted on the Web site iowapolitics.com.

Start retaliated against the terrorists' home countries, and said countries might actually do something about the Imams and madrassas that churn out these retards.

...and THAT is exactly why he has this sheepdog's vote!
Glad to see Tancredo finally start getting the serious attention he deserves!
He stands firm on all the issues and supports the long-term best interests of this country.

If it was up to me, Mecca would have been gone 24 hours after 9/11 and Medina the next day. The revolting mosque on the templemount would have been razed right after and all believing Muhammedans interned and deported.
But we have an imbecile president creating a traffic jam to the mosque to declare that Islam is a 'RoP'- the rest is our unbelievably stupid, suicidal history....

Damn time somebody said it.
But then, WHY WAIT. Do it now!
Show those 7th Century barbarians that their allegiance to a moon god thought up by a pedophile con-man (Mohammed) is based on a clear mis-understanding of the difference between what a civilized county can do do savages if need be vs what those savages can accomplish!

This topic came up more than two years ago when Tancredo said nearly the same thing. The discussion from July, 2005 contained useful comments about the real meaning of the Kaaba stone and how its destruction would disprove Allah's promise to the Muslims. We would not even need to use nukes and we could accomplish a great deal.

sheik yer'mami, you echo what I've said numerous times in numerous places (including on Atlas). As soon as we knew that the 9/11 perps where Saudis the B-2s should have been airborne.
This is also not the first time Tom Tancredo has made this statement (about nuking Mecca and Medina) - if my memory serves, he made the same statement about a year or two ago and of course all the Islamoapologists and scum like CAIR went into orbit.
Now, the remaining question is which order the numerous sites get nuked? Do we do the Temple Mount before or after Mecca (the Temple Mount would require conventional weapons, since we don't want to rebuild the Temple on radioactive ground).

friends:
yes, precisely.
anywhere that mosques serve as places to organize terror, they should be attacked, entered, and those within who resist, killed.
these mosques have been off limits to retribution far too long. they are used to recruit, incite, train, and launch terror. they are no different from a military fortress or base, and they should be treated accordingly, summarily and brutally.
thank you, mr. tancredo. thank you, pamela, very much, for running this post. it is an act of courage on mr. tancredo's part, it is an act of courage on your part to publish this. god bless you, both.

The last time Tancredo spoke his mind, all hell broke loose. Ol' Tom almost got tossed from the Republicratic Party for that slip of the truth. The same threats were issued when he was due to share the podium with Bob Spencer, Wafa Sultan, Paul Williams, Harvey Kushner, Joe Kaufman and other critics of the Religion of Perpetual Outrage in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, at that time Tancredo chose the Party over the American people, and canceled his appearance at the gig.
Braver souls prevailed in Las Vegas as America's most gorgeous journalist appeared Lap-topless and recorded the event.

The next President is very likely going to have to deal with nuclear-armed terrorists.
He can put his head in the sand or ... he can face reality and start thinking about what few options, if any, are available.
The threat of retaliatory nukes is one potential option.
Mecca and Medina could be potential targets.
Now, why don't the Muslim leaders consider this threat and start policing their own extremists ... rather than condoning them.
Tanc pushes the envelope exactly where it's needed the most.
The discussion has begun.
Why don't other candidates explain their policies for deterring a terrorist nuclear attack? What post-nuclear-attack response do they propose? Or is it back to head in the sand?

"What post-nuclear-attack response do they propose?"
Pre-Emption is the only sane way forward if we are to save millions of American lives. Those who have ignored the threats and Fatwas issued by the Islamic world....will be as guilty as bin Laden and the Saudi Royals when we lose entire cities to our "Most valuable allies in the Middle-East.
(And....those who have trained and armed the enemies of Israel will be responsible for the loss of every Arab oil-field in the Middle-East. Don't want to lose your car? Call your duplicitous lawmakers TODAY ....and demand that they stop supporting terrorism. No gas = No cars.

Good Lord! Someone give us a heads up, first, please. [“Us” being the many Americans that are over here in The Sandox.] I just need enough time to throw some personal belongings into a suitcase and get to the airport with the husband and kids.

While nuking Mecca SOUNDS like a 'dream' response, and believe me, there's been many many times over the past few years when I advocated just this exact scenario. I've also struggled with it mightly trying to come to grips with the actuallity of what a nuke strike on Mecca, Medina, Teheran would REALLY be like and what it would succeed in doing.
The reality of our current situation does NOT allow for it unless and/or UNTIL, Iran or someone else, actually unloads on us first.
I know, it sucks but folks, we do NOT pre-emptively nuke a country/city.. History would judge us VERY harshly indeed regardless of what we might think now.
This of course does not stop us from keeping the VERY real threat on the table now does it?
Outline to the likes of Ahmanutsonfire and his ilk EXACTLY what kind of attack and/or behavior on their part will trigger a full blown nuke strike. Make it public, draw a line in the sand and let THEM be the ones to cross it...
MAD is not something that will work on these madmen. They do not have anything to lose... A nuke strike on one of their centers will only inflame the remaining muslim world and quite possibly the rest of the world totally against us...
Sorry to be a downer here and like I said, I have often thought of this same exact scenario myself but I guess I'm still too much of a human being to want to run off and incinerate a few million people...

Maybe I'm just a cold-hearted bastard, but I have no problem incinerating a few million if it will prevent our country from getting hit. Forget the concept of absorbing a first-strike. It is like the old West: if the other guy draws, you draw quicker and shoot.
Iran, for one, declared war (they drew on us) nearly 30 years ago when they occupied the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, and the Saudis have as well (back door though it may be by supporting the likes of Hamas, CAIR and other assorted lowlife). As Sherman said "War is Hell", and it is better if the enemy experiences hell before we do.
