DARFUR: Arabs Steal land of the Dead

Islamic jihad slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Christians, moderate Muslims and now the Arabs are "occupying' the dead men's lands. Think about that.

And the West is kissing their ass. I ask you.

Arabs from Chad and Niger are crossing into Darfur in "unprecedented" numbers, prompting claims that the Sudanese government is trying systematically to repopulate the war- ravaged region.

An internal UN report, obtained by The Independent, shows that up to 30,000 Arabs have crossed the border in the past two months. Most arrived with all their belongings and large flocks. They were greeted by Sudanese Arabs who took them to empty villages cleared by government and janjaweed forces.

One UN official said the process "appeared to have been well planned". The official continued: "This movement is very large. We have not seen such numbers come into west Darfur before."

The UN refugee agency, UNHCR, sent a team to the border with Chad at the end of May to interview the new arrivals. Fighting in eastern Chad has been steadily increasing and it was thought that many could be refugees. But only a very small number have required support from UNHCR.

"Most have been relocated by Sudanese Arabs to former villages of IDPs (internally displaced people) and more or less invited to stay there," said the UN official.

The arrivals have been issued with official Sudanese identity cards and awarded citizenship, and analysts say that by encouraging Arabs from Chad, Niger and other parts of Sudan to move to Darfur the Sudanese government is making it "virtually impossible" for displaced people to return home.

Sorry but America is tied up in Iraq & Afghanistan. So is Britain to a large extent. And we don't have any stained honor to cleanse.

This really doesn't come as a surprise. Al-Bashir has had this planned from the begining, he's just executing his own version of the 'Final Solution'

He also knows damn well that with the U.S. tied down with Iraq/Iran, he can do just about any damn thing he wants to, and laugh about it.. Who's going to stop him?

The U.S. needs to get on the UN Human Rights Commission. While the body is a disgrace, if they U.S. decides to participate instead of boycott it then the U.S. can prevent some of the anti-Israel resolutions from being passed, and can try to get the UN to do something about real problems in place like Darfur.

Human history is chock full of land grabs - The Mongols under Gengis Khan went into China; Tsarist Russia always felt threated and so they expanded their hold on the territory beyond the borders of Imperial Russia; the American expansion into the West after the Louisiana Purchase and taking the land that the Native Americans called their own; Islamo-sympathizers claim Israel is a land grab of Palestine - which was itself the result of a land grab by the Romans after the dispersion of the Jews following the Bar Kokhba revolt of 135, before the birth of Mohammed.

My posting offers no solutions - it's just a reminder that there is nothing new under the sun. Darfur is only the latest example of the tragic human condtion.

So the Palestinians claim those mean Jews kicked them out of their homes for no reason at all and stole their land, and the UN sets up special committees and establishes days of commemoration for the Palestinian cause.

When that exact scenario really does play out in Darfur, the world is silent...???
