China's New Nuke Sub Has US in Sight

Yes, these nukes could reach the US. More of  Bill Clinton's chickens coming home to roast uh roost. I asked a couple of Atlas readers the implications of this google photo. Bottomline? Army Doc sums it up nicely:

1. They can hit us anywhere in the US now with longer range subs and longer range missiles..
2. Sub can go faster and stay out longer with bigger reactor.
3. They don't care that we see that they have it. (usually they keep these things in caves)
4.Thank you Bill Clinton, Bernie Schwartz and the DOE chick for this wonderful piece of technology.

RESEARCHER SPOTS CHINA'S NEW NUCLEAR SUB ON GOOGLE EARTH

A satellite image of China's new nuclear ballistic missile submarine is available on the Google Earth Internet site.

One photo is of what is apparently the new Type 094 Jin-class SSBN at the Xiaopingdao base near Dalian, FAS reported.

Rich adds: "Once misconception of most people is that Boomers need to be close to our coastlines to strike us.  This is false.  ICBM's have a long range (approx 5000 miles) which means they can launch and strike our cities from near their coastline (at least the Russians could).  (I don't know how far China's bases are from the US).

China having Nuclear-Powered Boomers means their Navy has become modern.  They will be able to deploy virtually forever and launch from thousands of miles away from our country."

And finally Daryl said, "From 200 miles, they can do better than just read your car license plate number: they can see if your fingernails have been trimmed.

The Chinese Communists are Chinese Nationalists first. They are determined to restore China to its rightful place among nations, #1. And being Communists, they have no regard for human life."

UPDATE: More from Military man:

Check this blog out for more on the very ambitious Chinese Naval program. While all other Navies of the world are pulling back, and reducing construction take a look at what the Chinese are doing.

These ships aren't necessary for coastal defence: At the minimum, they are to enable the crossing of the Taiwan Straits in support of an invasion of Taiwan. At the maximum, they will allow the Chinese to clear the Pacific of American Naval forces West of the Golden Gate.

Meanwhile, Blair has destroyed the British Navy.

Perhaps it would be appropriate for this time and age to remove the statue of Nelson from Trafalgar Square and replace it with something less offensive like a burkha shoppe?

And to think, the adults have the young'uns crying and having nightmares about California going under water due to "global warming", while what we got here is a real nuclear bomb aimed and capable of hitting the United States. Confused priorities...

The Technology itself is important, but there's something more important. The ability to produce that technology on a large scale. Anyone with the ability to reach us with a handful of nukes is a concern, but they can't really extinguish us. But Someone with dozens of such subs and hundreds or thousands of missiles can.

That ability isn't just from Clinton. Although Clinton lead the spearhead, the Republican congress joined along willingly.

We've done the completely anti-Reagan approach to the Chinese. Reagan starved the Soviet Union at first. I remember their defenders protesting our trade limits and bans with them. Only after steps to reform did Reagan loosen the restrictions.

Those who worship at the alter of so-called free trade like to revise that history or ignore it altogether. They also like to claim, capitalistic practices will infect China and lead them to freedom. They ignore the thousands of years of history with Kings and Emperors that we also has capitalism under their rule as well.

Because of the lure of cheap labor we've shipped manufacturing plants and knowhow to China wholesale. We've given away knowhow that US industry developed at no small expense for decades.

I remember Bush Sr. trying to open the door to China, but Tiananmen Square put a damper on that for a few years. But the constant push to modernize China's industry looks like its paying off, for them. That has to be placed at the feet of both Democrats and Republicans.

I wouldn't worry too much about China's new sub - the thing only looks to be like 4 inches long.
