The Weekly Standard Blog has been leading the efforts to find the truth behind the disgusting anti-military hit pieces at The New Republic.

Today, Multi-National Force Iraq responded to the horrific allegations of war crimes at the liberal magazine. It is more evidence that the writer who goes by the name "Scott Thomas" at The New Republic is slandering the troops in Iraq:

Sir,

Our Soldiers our held to the highest standards in all regards to include Standards of Conduct and Rules of War. There has been no operational reporting of the misconduct of Soldiers as reported in the article. We also cannot disclose the names and units of Soldiers that are serving in Iraq.

In addition, any misconduct by Soldiers is addressed by the unit commander through the uniform code of military justice. All violations of the law are investigated.

The New Republic is running a sensational pseudonymously-authored article entitled Shock Troops, which TNR claims is written by a soldier currently serving in Iraq. The article provides candid portrayals of rough and ugly humor among the troops and hinges on the premise that those who have no experience with the military will believe that the "dehumanizing" aspects of the war have turned our young men and woman into barbarians parading around with a child's skull for a cap and insulting the war-wounded for their deformities. Many of us who do have experience with the military believe that these stories sound faked.

I just saw this on Michele Malkin's site. The diary entry has since been deleted by the daily Kos as they don't want the Public to get wind of this.... it said at one point, that they have pictures of soldiers scooping out the brains of a terrorist and pretending to eat them. Paliwood must be working overtime to manufacture these pics... duncan likely has them framed and hung on his wall by now. Disgusting, all around.

The embedded "journalists" in Iraq are nothing less than psychopathic predators preying on our soldiers and relishing their misfortunes at the hands of the equally vile and disgusting JAG corps.

Is this a "War" or not? Apparently not. Obviously our soldiers are being suckered into a massive "Reality show" sting operation intended to humiliate and demoralize our forces.

A single American soldier's life is worth more than a hundred Iraqi lives....If we are running a missionary over there, then let the Retard-Journalists, JAG Corps. and politicians man the mission. Our soldiers are trained to continue our historic tradition of fighting 'til total victory.....not to provide entertainment for the networks.

Screw them all....and all those who threaten criminal indictments against our brave men.
