BILLBOARD OF OSAMA BIN LADEN WITH A TARGET OVER HIS FACE GOES UP IN OMAHA Terror Free Oil

(Coral Springs, FL) At the intersection of 50^th and Dodge St., in Omaha, Nebraska, a new billboard went up advertising Terror-Free Oil Initiative's "Bankrupt Terror!" campaign. On it, the words "BANKRUPT TERROR!" are written next to a close-up of Osama bin Laden with a red target over his face. Also on the sign is a large picture of Uncle Sam, stating, "I WANT YOU TO STOP GIVING MONEY TO TERRORISTS."

 

Controversy erupted, when the sign company that was hired to create the billboard refused to produce/run the billboard in its original form. The original design contained an image of the World Trade Center in flames. Eventually the two sides agreed on the present rendition.

 

Joe Kaufman, the spokesman for Terror-Free Oil, stated, "We wanted something that was hard hitting - something that would cause people to think about their own gasoline purchasing habits. We believe our billboard does just that."

Concurent efforts: solar and wind.

I saw on the Buffalo news last night, how one gentleman has taken his $350 a month energy bills and reduced them to $9, with solar and wind power. I know very well this is not a panacea for the entire continent, no matter how much some want it to be, but it does work for some!
