Why We Fight #1: Prelude to War (1943) Frank Capra

The first part of a series of films produced by the United States War Department during World War II. The series explained the reasons for  all the U.S war effort up to that time. This first part covers the rise of Fascism in Italy, Nazism in Germany, and Militarism in Japan and juxtaposes their political and social systems with that of the U.S. It also portrays the first examples of Japanese aggression in Manchuria and China, as well as the example of Italian aggression in Ethiopia. Supervised and Directed by Frank Capra.

A couple of weeks back I ran Frank Capra's "Divide and Conquer" and thought the whole series ought to air on Atlas. This is part one. Let this serve as a warning to the apologists, the deniers and appeasers. They will sign our death warrants   fatwas.

Islamic Glasgow Terror Bomber Screamed ALLAH ALLAH

The Islamic bomber was screaming ALLAH ALLAH when being apprehended and still no mention of Islam from the jihad loving media. Only warnings from British pundits and government officials not to ties this to any religion. Ugh.

This appears to be a wave of Islamic terror attacks, they are unsure if it's over. They call it "continuing."

In Glasgow, witnesses described how the two men drove the four-wheel-drive vehicle into the doors of the airport’s main terminal building. One of the men got out of the Jeep Cherokee with his clothes on fire. He was restrained by passengers while others put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.

Eyewitness Jackie Kennedy, 46, described how she watched one of the occupants of the car douse himself in petrol and set himself alight.

"He had a big smirk on his face. He lifted up what appeared to be a five-litre drum, which I think had petrol in it, and set himself on fire. His clothes were melting in front of my very eyes.

“The police tried to pounce on him but he fought back and was struggling with them. It was only when a member of the public punched him in the face that the police managed to restrain him. Times Online article here.

CAIRO, Egypt —  The death of a 12-year-old Egyptian girl at the hands of a doctor performing female circumcision in the country's south has sparked a public outcry and prompted health and religious authorities this week to ban the practice.

The girl, Badour Shaker, died earlier in June while being circumcised in an illegal clinic in the southern town of Maghagh. Her mother, Zeniab Abdel Ghani, told the Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper that she had paid $9 dollars to a female physician to perform the procedure.

The mother also told the paper that the doctor later tried to bribe her to withdraw a lawsuit accusing the physician of murder, in return for $3,000, but she refused.

A forensic investigation into the case showed the girl's death was caused by an anesthesia overdose during the procedure.

The case sparked widespread condemnation and was closely followed in Egyptian papers, which also reported that Shaker had passed out sweets to pupils in her class earlier on the day of her death, to celebrate her good grades.

It also evoked memories of a 1995 CNN television documentary depicting a barber circumcising a 10-year-old girl in a Cairo slum.

BAT YEOR: "The story ought to be told"

The sagacious brilliant Islamic scholar is in our part of the world and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to interview her this weekend.

The prescient scholar who warned us over a decade ago of the coming caliphate in the seminal, groundbreaking work EURABIA (plagiarized by the most revered.).  When I first became aware of the Islamic threat (the first month I started blogging) I went to see  Yeor speak at Columbia University- I asked her, "what can we do, what can I do?" She said "learn everything."

And the internationally renowned author Bat Ye'or. If the other speakers provoke certain people, this diminutive, gentle and brilliant 74-year-old lady seems to positively terrify them. They urge immigration authorities "immediately to bar Bat Ye'or from entering Canada."

Being deported because of Arab anger would, however, be nothing new to the author of a host of internationally acclaimed works on the history of Islam and its treatment of Jews and Christians. She and her family were forced to leave their native Egypt in 1957, part of the more than one million Jews who were exiled from Muslim states after the Second World War and the foundation of Israel. Bat Ye'or's name roars the horror of it all. It is a pseudonym, meaning "Daughter of the Nile" in Hebrew.

The persecuted Jews of the Middle East. The silenced catastrophe. A wave of innocents whose existence in Arab lands pre-dated the birth of Islam. Their numbers were greater than those of the Palestinian refugees and they were frequently treated far more harshly. Yet the world said very little, and today the Islamic bloc and their allies in the United Nations and elsewhere pretend this post-Biblical exodus did not happen.

"It is, I suppose, deeply ironic that I was told that I was not allowed to live in Egypt when I was a girl and now as a grown woman I'm told, in part by people from Egypt, that I shouldn't come to Canada either. As for Israel, they'd like that to disappear," she says, more bemused than bitter. "Where ought I to go? No matter. The story has to be told, the true story of how Islam has treated and still does treat its minorities."

"As late as the early 20th century, in some Muslim countries Jews had to remove their shoes when they left their own quarter, were not allowed to ride a horse, were treated as second-class citizens. This idea of equality is nonsense. Their numbers were restricted, especially in the Holy Land, and the same was true of Christians. There were periodic pogroms, right up till the 1940s."

A pause, searching for the right words. "What occurred back then is history, but history has to be understood and accepted. What we have now is revision, denial. Muslim immigrants are taking this false idea of the past to Europe and North America, along with a culture that does not share the Western notion of tolerance, equality, criticism of religion and freedom."

This thesis of the spread of such ideas is discussed at length in what may be her most famous and controversial book, Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis. In it she argues that Islamic fundamentalism has found its way to Europe because most Muslim moderates are frightened of speaking out and European intellectuals and activists have been seduced by its anti-American dynamic.

It is her collection of work on the Islamic conquest of the Christian heartlands of Egypt, Palestine, Syria and North Africa that have caused so much frustration among Muslim opponents. She writes in detail of Dhimmitude, the method in which Jews and Christians were subjugated and humiliated.

"There are courageous Muslims who do resist but it is difficult and dangerous. There is an underground of Sharia law across Europe, with terrible treatment of women. This is combined with the threat of violence aimed at anybody who speaks out against what is going on. Censorship through fear. We even see this to a mild degree in Canada, an example being the attempt to stop me entering the country."

The cause of Palestine, she emphasizes, is at its heart about the triumph of Islam. "Most of Palestine is in Jordan but we do not hear cries for Jordan to return land. This isn't about the rights of the Palestinians but about the refusal to accept a non-Muslim state in the region. Palestine has become the fashion of the West, without them understanding the deeper issues of the conflict."

ISLAM ATTACKS: MUSLIM BOMBING SUSPECT HOSPITAL EVACUATED

Fox is reporting the hospital the Muslim suspect in the Glasgow airport bombing was taken to has been evacuated.

No reason has been given for the evacuation. The Muslim suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment and subsequently officials evacuated the hospital. Very strange indeed.

Apparently upon on examination of the Islamic (my choice of words not is) terrorist a "suspect device" was found. Suspect device? Suspect how? Radioactive? He doesn't say.

They believe it is linked to the event in London yesterday. Confirming it's a terrorist incident. Many similarities. Two arrested.

They are treating this as a ""continuing incident."

England's new Prime Minister Gordon Brown's new government may want to cut and run from Iraq but there is no way he can cut and run from the war Islam has declared on the UK.

Remember those devices in London appear to be IEDs. The Glasgow terror attack and the London Islamic terror attack yesterday appear to be linked. Pauline Neville -Jones, Chairman of the British Joint Intelligence Committee, is confirming the connection.

Elevated security alert at major US airports

A new development worth noting in yesterday and today's bombings is the detonation of the bomb via cellphone. This eliminates the need for a "martyr" or suicide bomber for all those jihadis would prefer to met their 72 raisins later than sooner.

Iraqis Join U.S. in Fight on Al-Qaeda Washington Post

The U.S. military is enlisting hundreds of fighters each day from tribal and insurgent groups in alliances aimed at countering al-Qaeda in Iraq, the top U.S. general in Baghdad said yesterday, calling it a "very positive development" but one that requires caution to ensure it works to promote security.

Maj Gen. Joseph F. Fil Jr., commander of Multinational Division Baghdad, said U.S. and Iraqi troops control nearly half of the capital's neighborhoods, but that hard fighting remains as operations continue to clear out insurgents from the rest of the city. Overall attack levels in Baghdad remain constant, he said, but casualties have fallen among Iraqi civilians and Iraqi security forces and risen for U.S. troops as their operations and numbers intensify.

In the Abu Ghraib region outside Baghdad, about 1,500 fighters have agreed to renounce violence against U.S. and Iraqi government forces, and join the Iraqi police. About 300 are signing up each day, said Fil, commander of the 1st Cavalry Division. A similar program is underway in the western Baghdad district of Ghazaliyah, he said.

"Some of them, who have previously been fighting us, have come to us, . . . and they want to fight with us. They are tired of al-Qaeda and the influence of al-Qaeda in their tribes and in their neighborhoods, and they want them cleaned out," Fil said. "We're excited about it. But we are, frankly, being cautious."

Senior U.S. military and Pentagon officials have said negotiations with such groups have also progressed in Iraq's western province of Anbar as well as in northern Iraq, where they say a group of 130 tribal sheiks around the town of Tikrit have joined forces against the Sunni insurgent group al-Qaeda in Iraq. In some regions where such alliances exist, attacks have fallen and the number of roadside bombs discovered before they detonate has risen to as high as 80 percent -- about double the nationwide average, the officials said.

Fil said the U.S. military in Baghdad is not arming the tribes, former insurgents or militias, and that U.S. cooperation with them is "conditional" and required them first to take an oath of allegiance to Iraq and renounce violence. Next, they are organized into groups under the auspices of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense or interior, and "carefully vetted" by the tribal leadership, as well as the U.S. military, which takes their fingerprints and biometric data, he said.

"They must all serve to assist in the stability of Baghdad and be brought into the existing governmental security agencies," said Fil, who said he hopes to expand it to include Shiite groups in eastern and western Baghdad. "It's a deliberate program. I think it's got huge promise," he said.

As the U.S. military undertakes large-scale operations in Baghdad's outskirts to deny insurgents sanctuary, Fil said he sees "steady progress" inside the capital where U.S. and Iraqi troops have established a presence, adding that of Baghdad's 474 neighborhoods, 229 -- or 48 percent -- are under control. That is in contrast to April, he said, when about a quarter of the neighborhoods were under control.

Although large numbers of U.S. troops have been dispatched to the periphery of the city, rather than concentrated in Baghdad, Fil said he has not "seen a degradation" of U.S. capabilities in the capital. Still, Fil acknowledged that any U.S. commander would welcome additional troops. "I would be very pleased to take more," he said.

Attacks in Baghdad, such as car bombs, are less effective in killing and wounding Iraqi civilians, because U.S. and Iraqi forces have created walled neighborhoods and markets as well as roadblocks and checkpoints that make it harder for insurgents to strike in crowded streets, Fil said.

Nevertheless, casualties are up among U.S. troops as they push into Baghdad neighborhoods to conduct patrols, raids and other operations in greater numbers, Fil said, with about 10,000 more U.S. troops inside Baghdad proper than before the U.S. troop increase began in January.

"To be sure, the enemy is fighting back, hard, in some of these areas that we've taken away," Fil said, referring to al-Qaeda in Iraq fighters who remain entrenched in the districts of Rasheed, Doura and elsewhere.

Fil said the five U.S. soldiers killed and six wounded Thursday in Rasheed were struck by gunfire, rocket-propelled grenades and a large explosive device hidden underground. Such "deep-buried" bombs -- often composed of several artillery shells, large quantities of homemade explosives and mines -- are one factor in the rising U.S. death toll. To prevent the attacks, Fil said, the U.S. military is welding shut access covers on sewage systems and also watching carefully for drainage ditches that pass underneath roads and other avenues for emplacing the explosives.

Man Sexually Assaulted in Pakistan After Refusing to Convert to Islam hat tip Jeff

Lawyers in Pakistan are investigating a report that up to 30 men tortured and gang-raped a young Christian man for refusing to convert to Islam.

The victim is seriously injured and unable to move, Release International’s partner in Pakistan has reported. However, according to the Centre for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) the police are keeping him locked up and have denied him medical treatment.

The police are also refusing to register the rape following a counter-claim made by his principal attacker – “a man of influence”, Release International has told Christian Today.

According to CLAAS, the Christian was invited to a game of cricket. A quarrel broke out and he was beaten up. Later that evening, the father of one of the Muslims asked the Christian over to his house.

Joseph Francis, the National Director of CLAAS, explained: “When he entered the drawing room, he found it filled with unknown people. They began to beat him severely. They threatened him with dire consequences if he did not accept Islam. After his refusal, they committed sodomy with him one by one for the whole night.”

Francis said that they later threw their victim out on the street unconscious.

June 29, 2007: Israel and Fatah are negotiating what amounts to a peace treaty. An informal deal, but perhaps one of the most effective ever worked out between the two antagonists. In return for Fatah really cracking down on Palestinian terrorists[as if - Atlas], Israel would dismantle much of its security system on the West Bank. There are 560 Israeli roadblocks and checkpoints in the West Bank, making it difficult for Palestinians to move around. There are  35 checkpoints controlling access into Israel, and 43 internal checkpoints within the West Bank. The check points require a document check and search before getting past. If there is an alert, many of  the roadblocks will stop and search as well. All this is to make it more difficult for terrorists to organize and carry out attacks inside Israel. So far this has worked. But Israel will only take down the movement restrictions inside the West Bank if they can get convincing assurances that Fatah will crack down on the terrorists, and share information on terrorist activity with Israel. In return for this, Fatah gets foreign aid restored, as well as internal freedom of movement in the West Bank, and fewer Israeli police operations (to capture terrorists). Fatah is desperate, but it's not known if Fatah is competent enough to carry out its half of the bargain. If Fatah cannot contain the terrorists, the foreign aid will continue, but the West Bank lockdown will return. There's more (bring your motion sickness bag.)

Second car bomb found in London's Park Lane Daily Mail

A second car bomb has been defused in the heart of London sparking fears that others could be primed and parked around the capital.

The petrol, gas and nail bomb was discovered in a Mercedes towed into a car park pound beneath London's Park Lane after being found illegally parked in the West End of the city.

It was parked in Cockspur Street, just a few hundreds of yards from the first Mercedes. The car was ticketed at 2.30am and then taken to the pound at around 3.30am.

The discovery, in the early hours of Friday morning - at about the same time as the first car-bomb was found in Haymarket, left anti-terror detectives asking "How many more?" as thousands of officers searched the captial for other suspect vehicles - and for the terrorist cell.

Just hours before the deadly devices were found, an Islamic fanatic chillingly predicted a terror blast in London.

ABC News reported fumes inside the car were so thick that the robot's camera could not pierce them and send back a worthwhile image for the technicians to view. With robotic technology ruled out, law enforcement officials say, a bomb technician fell back on the oldest and riskiest technique in the manual -- hand entry. Donning an approximately 90-pound Kevlar suit , one technician took "the long walk" from his armored response van to the Mercedes E 300 sedan and found a carefully constructed, large vehicle bomb with a complicated fuse.

The bomb technician defused the device by hand, officials in London said.

British police have a "crystal clear" picture of the man who drove the bomb-rigged silver Mercedes outside a London nightclub, and officials tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com he bears "a close resemblance" to a man arrested by police in connection with another bomb plot but released for lack of evidence.

Officials say the suspect had been taken into custody in connection with the case of al Qaeda operative Dhiren Barot (pictured), who was convicted of orchestrating a vehicle bomb plot involving targets in London, New York, Newark, N.J. and Washington, D.C.

Officials say a surveillance camera caught the suspect "staggering from the Mercedes" shortly after parking it outside the Tiger Tiger nightclub.

UPDATE:"Cars of Al-Qaeda" (Bill Warner) details  how the Muslim used car import scam is used in almost every al-Qaeda bomb plot in the last 8 years. Every time there is a Muslim plot to blow up and to kill US and or British targets there is a Muslim car dealer involved in financing the project. 

The suspect's name has not been released but it appears to be Zamir Hussein. Hussein, 24, of Shackshaft Street, Blackburn, is a used car dealer and was linked to Dhiren Barot. Thanks to the intrepid Bill Warner for all of these details.

A FRIEND of Junade Feroze spoke of his support for the terror plotter.

Feroze and Zamir Hussain, 24, of Shackshaft Street, Blackburn, were returning from a car auction in Bamber Bridge when police pounced.

Feroze had been working at his brother Javaid's Lower Audley Tyre Centre in Blackburn and has been held at London's Belmarsh high-security prison along with seven others since August 2004.

Blackburn car dealer admits terror bomb plot By Charlotte Bradshaw

AMBUSHED: Bomb plotter Junade Feroze's car is surrounded by anti-terrorist police when he was caught in Cherry Tree, Blackburn, in August, 2004 A BLACKBURN car dealer has admitted being involved in an Al Qaeda terrorist bomb plot.

Junade Feroze, 31, of Malham Gardens, Blackburn, was one of four men who pleaded guilty to plotting against the UK and the United States.

Zamir was the only one of the four Islamic terrorists that the cops released when Barot was arrested. It has to be him.

The men admitted conspiracy to cause explosions together with convicted Al Qaeda terrorist Dhiren Barot and others unknown between February 19, 2001, and August 4, 2004.

Officials tell ABC News at least two men have been arrested inside Germany who came directly from the Pakistan training camp.

On the tape, the leader of the British team speaks of the mission in broken English, "Let me say something about why we are going along with my team to tell a suicide attack in Britain."

Farfour Mouse dies in last episode Jerusalem Post

Hamas TV on Friday broadcast what it said was the last episode of a weekly children's show featuring "Farfour," a Mickey Mouse look-alike who had made worldwide headlines for preaching Islamic domination and armed struggle to youngsters.

In the final skit, Farfour was beaten to death by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour's land. At one point, Farfour called the Israeli a "terrorist."

The weekly show, featuring a giant black-and-white rodent with a high-pitched voice, had attracted worldwide attention because the character urged Palestinian children to fight Israel. It was broadcast on Hamas-affiliated Al-Aksa TV.

Israeli officials have denounced the program, "Tomorrow's Pioneers," as incendiary and outrageous. The program was also opposed by the state-run Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation, which is controlled by Fatah.

Exclusive: CNN puts Jerusalem back on the map

Following an inquiry from The Jerusalem Post, CNN has corrected a feature on its Web site that failed to identify Jerusalem as Israel's capital and which had instead listed it as "Jerusalem, null."

The change was made on Wednesday, after the Post contacted a CNN spokesman in Atlanta, where the company is based, and asked why Israel was referred to in this way by the Web site.

The feature in question appears on the CNN home page, which offers visitors the option of checking the weather at various locations around the world by typing in the name of the desired city.

The page returns a result containing the city name followed by the country in which it is located, such that someone who typed in "Moscow" would receive the weather report for "Moscow, Russia."

But visitors to the site who typed in "Jerusalem" received the weather forecast for "Jerusalem, null," with no mention made of the city's location in the State of Israel.

After being contacted by the Post on Wednesday, CNN spokeswoman Jennifer Martin said that the company had made "a clarification" to the Web site after having received "a few inquiries" on the issue.

The matter was first uncovered and publicized by pro-Israel activist Web sites The Israellycool.com and littlegreenfootballs.com.

The prime minister added that stepping up protection would be "just as [ineffective] as the demand to solve Sderot's Kassam problem by wiping Beit Hanun and other towns in Gaza off the face of the earth.

Nice straw man argument. Well, since we can't "wipe them off the face of the earth," let's release them from our prisons, and pretend we aren't paying the salaries of thousands of terrorists via Abbas. Hamas solved its Fatah problem permanently (and probably the dreaded armed clan threat as well) in Gaza with probably less than 100 deaths.

The prime minister appealed to the residents of the Gaza periphery: "In the short term we cannot supply you with all of the personal security that we would like to provide, because such protection would draw from expensive resources that are needed for other critical security needs."

The immediate personal security need is a change in government. Hamas hurling rockets is an act of war by a duly elected  government.

Olmert also addressed the media, asking that they "not encourage, even mutely, demands of citizens that no normal government could accept." He added that "life in Israel entails a certain security risk, and anyone who chooses to live in the Jewish state is accepting this risk." And yet, "the risk in Israel is lower than the risk threatening Jews in other parts of the world."

I wonder if that mercedes was part of the global  stolen car ring that Warner always writes about.

London car bomb 'packed with nails and gas'

London escaped what could have been its worst terrorist attack this morning when a car bomb packed with nails, gas canisters and containers of petrol apparently failed to detonate outside a popular West End nightclub hosting a 'ladies' night'.

Police were called to Tiger Tiger nightclub in the West End shortly before 2am when smoke was seen coming from the inside of a Mercedes car parked outside. A man was seen running from the vehicle.

Inside officers discovered a "significant quantity" of petrol, nails and gas cylinders. They used a remote-controlled device to check the vehicle before bomb squad officers made it safe.

If the bomb had exploded, police said that the shrapnel would have killed or injured anyone within a wide area. The bomb itself could have caused a fireball as big as a house followed by a large shock wave.

Authorities were called to the area when an ambulance crew saw smoke coming from the car.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, head of Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorism command, said: "It is obvious that if the device had detonated there could have been significant injury or loss of life.

"What the ambulance people saw was what they thought was smoke." He said the investigation would discover if it was smoke or something else.

Whitehall sources said that the police and security services are looking at possible international links - including similarities to car bombs used by insurgents in Iraq.

UPDATE: Car bomb 'primed to be detonated by mobile'

The car bomb was parked near Piccadilly Circus The explosive device, consisting of gas cyclinders and nails, was discovered outside the Tiger Tiger nightclub at 2am in The Haymarket, near Piccadilly Circus.

Similarities between the car bomb and Iraqi bomb plots have been highlighted by a British security official, according to the Associated Press.

Car bomb: Third car searched

Security alerts have brought London to a standstill today as much of the capital was shut down while police investigated two suspicious vehicles hours after officers defused a bomb that "could have caused carnage" in London's West End.

Police investigated a car near Hyde Park amid fears that it could be connected to a bomb defused by authorities hours earlier in London's West End.

A 200m cordon was put in place, cutting off one of London's major transport arteries and causing further traffic chaos after reports of the suspicious vehicle.

Two hours later, police cordoned off a 400m-stretch of Fleet Street between Fetter Lane and Ludgate Circus, in the heart of London's financial district, as they investigated a suspect vehicle. Two hours later, a spokesman for City of London police said the area had been made safe, but would not confirm whether police had found anything.

Sen. Clinton is a cosponsor of S. 2109, the National Innovation Act of 2005 : Need to import cheap high-tech workers? Then have I get a law for you! Unfortunately for American workers, it's a raw deal. Furthermore, it's easy to prove that this program (H-1B) is being abused. Law firms like Cohen and Grigsby are openly counseling employers how to game the legal system to avoid hiring "qualified and interested U.S. worker[s]."

S. 2109 would continue the H-1B program that every year imports additional high-tech workers as part of "comprehensive immigration reform." The H-1B program has been shown to harm American workers by depressing wages and displacing workers. As well, S. 2109 suggests that comprehensive reform must include provisions to "eliminate delays in processing immigration proceedings, including employment-based visa applications." This provision would do nothing but encourage the rubberstamping of applications, which is already happening because of the existing "backlog elimination" program and would promote and encourage fraud and corruption.

Scientists had previously found high rates of vitamin D deficiency in Arab and East Indian women living in the United Arab Emirates. A follow-up study investigated the effect of vitamin D supplements on 178 UAE women, many of whom covered themselves entirely, faces and hands included, when outside their homes. Only two of the women did not have vitamin D deficiency prior to receiving supplements. The results were published by a team of scientists in the June issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Is not the juridical conflict between shari'a law and European laws a slow-ticking bomb?

Bat Ye'or - It is true that we use the same words: justice, peace... But in shari'a, the law of Muslims, peace means submission, above all. Therefore Arab countries will not be able to envisage peace until Israel is subjugated. The concept of women's rights, of simply Human Rights, is different. There is a real antagonism between the two cultures for which I see no solution. Everything in the non-Muslim world is founded on separation of powers and democracy while in shari'a it is first and foremost the primacy of religious law. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a drop in the bucket in the aims of the of the organization of the Islamic Conference that seeks universal Islamization and the establishment of a planetary caliphate. The subversion of the universities, of the media, of the churches, the politics of compromise, of concessions will eventually result in the United States following the lead of Europe in the submission to Islam.

Bat Ye'or - Completely! The Jews of Arab lands and the Jews of East Jerusalem, to take a local example, were chased out by the Arabs. You mustn't forget that during all the Israeli-Arab wars, the Palestinians always took the side of the Arab coalitions while the Jews in Arab countries always showed allegiance to their adopted country and did not join the enemies of the Arab countries.

What it does refer to is the campaign of terrorism directed against Allied forces in Europe in the aftermath of the defeat of Nazi Germany. JERUSALEM: BOLTON TOO PESSIMISTIC ON IRAN J Post

Israeli officials took issue on Wednesday with the doomsday outlook on Iran that former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton articulated to The Jerusalem Post a day earlier, saying Jerusalem believes a combination of diplomatic pressure and stepped-up sanctions may get Teheran to rethink its nuclear program.

"We believe that the integration of concrete financial measures and UN sanctions can bring the Iranians to a tactical decision not to move forward with their nuclear program," one government official involved in the issue said.

 Ishcabibble, ishcabobble. FACTS ARE IRRELEVANT. UN sanctions (rubbing eyes, continues............)

"This, of course, will require continued determination and an uncompromising approach on part of the international community," he said. "Bolton's comments reflect his belief that the international community is incapable of this. We are cautiously optimistic."

Yes, let's throw the dice on a second holocaust based on an approach that has failed on every level for the past 10 years (uh make that throughout the course of human history.)

Bolton, in his interview with the Post, said that "diplomacy and sanctions have failed."

Uh, fact. Yellowcake anyone?

He said two options remained for stopping Iran: overthrowing the regime from within - he said it might be too late for this - or "a last-resort use of force."

If not then, when geniuses?

"We have fiddled away four years, in which Europe tried to persuade Iran to give up voluntarily," he said. "Iran in those four years mastered uranium conversion from solid to gas, and now enrichment to weapons grade... We lost four years to feckless European diplomacy and our options are very limited."

While expressing a great deal of esteem for Bolton's "proactive" view of how nuclear proliferation issues should be handled, and saying that he agreed with the gist of Bolton's argument that a lot of time has been wasted, the Israeli official said, "We part ways on his view of the effectiveness of political, diplomatic and financial steps."

They have the temerity to patronize the great one? Holy shia! The jewicidals have no boundaries. I cannot begin to imagine what Bolton is thinking. Talk about thankless tasks. No good deed goes unpunished.

The official said Bolton was "too categorical."

Perhaps an nuclear armed Islamic Republic of Iran is "too categorical.

""It is possible that his comments were meant to expedite the process," the official said. "We would all like to see more aggressive diplomacy."

Aggressive diplomacy? Now there's a new oxymoron for you. Like I said ishcabaibble, ishcabobble. Back in the 40s, these same kapos would have explained the many wonderful properties in Cyclon B.

But, the official said, there was no doubt that Iranian financial institutions, and now people on the street, were feeling the "heat" from the various sanctions and financial steps that have been taken.

Another government official dismissed Bolton's remarks by saying he was the US's "Avigdor Lieberman," referring to the strategic affairs minister from Israel Beiteinu.

Love how these leftarded Jewicidals remain nameless. No balls.

"I don't think he is more concerned than we are," the official said. "We just don't believe we are on the verge of Gog and Magog. We do not believe we have reached the point where you can say that the sanctions are not effective."

Of course not. Only after 6 million more Jews are dead will it be deemed officially "not effective."

Bolton also harshly criticized the Bush administration, saying it did not recognize the urgency of the situation and still held the misguided notion that sanctions could work.

At the end of the day, the government official said, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was satisfied with the way US President George W. Bush was dealing with the problem. "Bolton said that he doesn't think sanctions are effective. Okay, that's his opinion," the official said. "We disagree."
