Flag Day - oh happy day
I love it. Love that flag. Overwhelms me. I so get it. All of it. What it means, what it meant, what it still means. What it will always mean.It thrills me. Every time I salute it or look up to it, it fills me with pride. Feel like a little kid (children's faces looking up, holding wonder like a cup - Teasdale 1890.) The New York skyline does that to me too. The will of man made visible.
Success is counted sweetest
By those who ne'er succeed.
To comprehend a nectar
Requires sorest need.
Not one of all the purple Host
Who took the Flag today
Can tell the definition
So clear of Victory
As he defeated - dying -
On whose forbidden ear
The distant strains of triumph
Burst agonized and clear!
– by Emily Dickinson

Thanks for honoring and remembering our great Flag.
I proudly to have one in all 7 windows of my corner apartment on a busy downtown street.
Everyday I hear the sounds of traffic, Harleys, construction, and people.
The SOUNDS OF FREEDOM.
God Bless America and I hope everyone remembers to put out a flag today.

Dear Pamela;
Your a grand old flag
Your a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave
Your the emblem of
The land I love
The home of the free, and the brave
Every heart beats true
Under Red, White, and Blue
Where there's never a boast, or brag
Should old acquaintance be forgot
Keep your eye on the grand old flag
George M. Cohan
Also; HIPPO BIRDIE TWO EWES!!
So how old are you now? Late teens? Early twenties?
Sincerely;
EJO

Few things do it for me.
But, you put the American Flag, some American Military, and the American National Anthem on the same stage, now that will put a tear in my eye.
Good Bless the USA.
