Colleges Surrender to Islam

This is as bad as Minnesota College  installing muslim foot baths for Muslim ritual foot-washing (more on that here.)

I'm a GMU student for the past 4 years, and there's definitely a slow progress towards the campus being Muslim.  First, they installed foot washing basins in ALL of the bathrooms of the central Student building. The "ecumenical" prayer areas were slowly taken over by Muslims, and any students not conforming to Muslim beliefs (i.e., no shoes, no women) were removed from the PUBLIC area.  Then, the campus went through the effort of getting Halal food served... and are repeating the effort again at my expense, considering the last vendor couldn't be bothered to be ISLAMIC enough to be "Kosher..."  or meet the health code requirements.

There was a brief dustup recently when "TOLERANT" idiots did their best to NOT TOLERATE any dissenting views, interrupting a speaker invited by the College Republicans to speak on campus.  Repercussions for their actions?  None in the least!

NOW, the ISLAMOFASCISTS want THEIR "public" prayer area expanded to take up most of the third floor (my favourite haunt!), taking away room from the public STUDY area.

Is this a school?  Or is it an Islamic Outreach?

With some of the idiots working there, maybe it IS better as the latter, but sheesh...  Enough's enough!

Any of y'all have any thoughts on this?  It's really getting beyond ridiculous at this point, and I'm SICK of having to PUT UP WITH IT.

And of course there is no reason why he should put up with it, as the injustice, ill-feeling and resultant favoritism it can only have engendered is what it's come to.

It's a case for the courts, and a real good one. Brian needs to get hunkered down with some students and professors in the law school, to draw up a class action suit, and get so many of his fellow students signed on as possible. And it would mean getting organized nationally, by forming a an inter-campus committee.

The grievance is so totally a violation of the First Amendment that even the liberals at the ACLU, if they're worth their weight in spit, should be salivating all over a case like this.

Since Minnesota, being faced with some of the same issues is a congressionally instituted land grant university, federal jurisdiction is all but assured.

There was a reason the founders provided for separation of church and state, and this is so totally it.

I for one would like to see the footbaths...I have two 5 year old grandsons and I can't think of a better opportunity to teach them to use urinals...right down there on the floor too !

I attended GMU...this overrun began in the mid-90s, when I saw these guys using study rooms & various public areas in the Library for prayer, prohibiting the rest of us from using them for their intended purpose. It was irritating then, and I'm so glad as an alum I've NEVER given them a dime!

Atlas Shrugs is a great website and I agree with everything you say. I have found one discrepancy, though. You are far too easy on Islam! At this point in time, a war of words is acceptable, but you know that it will become a shooting war in the future, possibly near future. Our liberal politicians are not doing anything different from previous wars. They believe diplomacy will prevail until the end, when all hope is lost(strategic and tactical advantage along with it), and true bloodshed begins, and the real cost of their Islamic ignorance emerges from the depths of their selfishness. More Americans are going to die and not necessarily soldiers, sailors, marines, or airmen.
I think you should be teaching specific Islamic concepts such as taqiyya or kitman, or dhimmi and jiyzya tax, the satanic verses, the verse of the sword, law of abrogation, the two Qur'ans along with Hadiths and Surahs, and all other despicable Islamic filth. But most importantly, you need to clear the clutter from your website (it hurt my eyes). I think your theme needs to be streamlined, perhaps Islamic political/religious education first (with soundbite hooks). The point of your ecucational spear, so to speak. From there you can gradually broaden your scope leading into the melee that it is now.
Also, I think you should seriously consider putting strong emphasis on the Second Amendment and advise your readers (who seem to be mostly urban) how to use their God Given right. There's no doubt in my military mind that it is going to come into play in our lifetimes. I personally believe that every law-abiding American should own and be adept with the M-16 version of their choosing. Hunting rifles will not cut it. They are okay for hunting but don't have the firepower needed to go head-to-head with Mr. Kalashnikov's invention. What every law-abiding American needs is a 'Serious Social Carbine.' Ten 30 round magazines, and at least 1000 rounds of 5.56 in a ready locker at all times. Married couples should have one each. But most importantly Americans need to train with their weapons as well as with their minds. Bearing a weapon of such firepower is a HUGE responsibility (even if it sits in a closet for years). A thorough understanding of the weapon's lethality, accuracy, firepower, and safe operation must be practised. And yes, they are perfectly legal to own. (I suggest the Bushmaster XM-15 E2S--it's extremely accurate, has a bullet-proof safety, and mine has never once malfunctioned.) The time is coming when our federal, state, and local law enforcement folks are going to need our help.
Lastly, I believe you should not mince words. I freely admit I hate Isalm (270 million murdered in the last 1400 years). It's okay to admit you hate a practice and it's practitioners. I hate rapists, that's okay to say. I hate violent criminals, drug users and pushers, pedophiles, corporate criminals, and anyone who burns my beloved American Flag. It's okay to say that, too. I also hate muslims and Islam! If that bothers you, well tough, free speech! So, I'll leave you with this thought:
