Jeff, you are my kind of man! I'm off to get Q'ed!
Hi Pamela... This is Jeff Lord. I am the creator, president and CEO of QubeTV. I heard about your banned video, and as a couple of posters above have suggested, we at QubeTV would very much like to post your video. Come to www.qubetv.tv and sign up (it's free). Our Captain Techie advises we may have a temporary problem with the length but we will work to get around it. You have something to say and we want to give you a platform to say it.
The story, I think, speaks for itself, and quotes my partner, Charlie Gerow, on the subject of You Tube and banning videos.
There is increasingly a serious First Amendment and political issue with You Tube. Your experience is not the first. Today Qube TV and You Tube are the subject of a story on ABC News (here's the link)
So come on over to QubeTV. Everyone has a web site these days, and that won't change. But I believe there is strength in numbers when one person has an experience like yours. QubeTV was created for several reasons. Quite specifically one of those reasons is to help people when they get in a situation where politics has interfered with their creativity in making their videos.
So come on over, sign up and upload away. I'll keep an eye out for you - and if you have any problems you come straight to me!
Best wishes,
Jeff
I gotta tell you, I love this kind of a businessman and although Jim was raving about motionbox yesterday at the UN conference, this guy gets my business. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: Email comment of the day
Just read your blog and want to congratulate you on finding a place that wants your videos. I really enjoy them as they are both informative and entertaining. I showed one to my mother and explained you were in New York and she exclaimed " I'm glad SOMEONE in New York has a brain "
Ha!
UPDATE: Tried to load to QubeTV - no luck so far (and we are talking the five minute banned Vlog- a shorty.) So that aint great news : p

Pamela, I just tried to sign up for qtube, and do you know their activation code is about thirty or forty characters long? Ridiculous.
Jeez. Make it hard for those not interested I guess.

Clyde! You can paste the number and activate that way. I know I did that!
Also, I'm glad to see my earlier advice to Pamela (Atlas) is bearing fruit.

Brightcove is the video upload site I'd recommend. Helps when Sir Giuliani uses it...

There is increasingly a serious First Amendment and political issue with You Tube.
1. since there is no Constitutional right for a person to have his/her videos hosted by YouTube, what is the "First Amendment issue" you speak of ?
2. how does a company that explicitly markets itself as a conservative alternative to YouTube (i.e. one with an intentional bias towards one kind of content over other kinds of content) avoid that "First Amendment issue" ?
3. or, should we assume that you're just spouting marketing B.S. ?
