Public School Madrassa in New York

When I first covered this frightening development here I thought saner, cooler heads would prevail. I was wrong. When I discussed the  Arabic public school opening in NY with Mark  Steyn on my show here and what it would mean, he said

" it shows how we mischaracterized, we willfully misunderstand Islam. Yes, on the face of it yes Arabic is a language in a sense there is would be no difference between opening a foreign language school - a Spanish language school or a french language school - but in fact Arabic is more than a language. It is explicated the language of Islam so in that sense it is part of the Islamic religious imperial project. Radical Islam advances through the Arabic language. And you go all kinds of places that aren't in the Arab world now like Pakistan, Indonesia, Central Asia, the Balk ins, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Canada and the United States and you will here those Imams preaching in Arabic. Arabic is not just another language like French or Italian, it is the spearhead of an idea logical project that is deeply opposed to the United States."

Alicia Colon writes writes today: The Madrassa Plan Is Monstrosity

When I met him a while ago in The New York Sun's offices, Chancellor Joel Klein seemed to be in command of his senses. And Mayor Bloomberg did not become a successful billionaire without having some smarts. So whose insane idea was it to have an Arabic public school in Brooklyn open this September? Are they out of their minds? Have they learned nothing from the Netherlands about the danger of pandering to multiculturalism?

When I first heard of this proposed school, I thought it was a joke. But then I read Daniel Pipes's column about this disguised "madrassa" and discovered who the major principals were. Now I can't dispel this feeling of disbelief and outrage. This proposal is utter madness, considering that five years after September 11, ground zero is still a hole in the ground and we're bending over backwards to appease those sympathetic to individuals who would destroy us again. Smart, really smart....

I'd like to say that this is an outrage, but come on, who didn't know that liberals really only hate Christians and religious Joooos. Secular Jews, as long as they are anti-Zionists are fine, as one day they will make great lampshades. Caution, I might say something offensive. Oops! Too late.

People should wonder where the ACLU and the most Reverend Barry Lynn (Americans United for the Separation of Church and State) are in all of this. I don't think they'll act, because they have no dog in the fight; unless its Jooooish or Christian, there's no need to tear it down.

The idiots that approved this should be fired. Anyone that has ever read the "curriculum" of Madrassa schools knows this is insanity personified, since the majority of what the teach is the intolerance of radical Islam. The kids that attend these schools (at taxpayer expense) will graduate complete idiots, useful only in killing others or living in the middle ages.
