Allah Snackbar! NY Public School Madrassa Defeated

In what can only be called a stunning victory for life, liberty, democracy, and America - the opening of the public school madrassa was defeated. And while the DOE, tool extraordinaire of the leftist Islamist alliance, vows to continue to pursue such dhimmitude, we must stay vigiliant. If we know anything about the tactics of the left and Islamism, they never give up.

CITY ARAB SCHOOL MOVE DEFEATED NY Post

Responding to an outcry from parents, the city yesterday dropped plans to have a Brooklyn elementary school share its building with a new Arabic-language secondary school.

Education officials insisted the decision not to house the Khalil Gibran International Academy with PS 282 in Park Slope was logistical and unrelated to controversy surrounding the new school's concept, which some critics had attacked as a disguise for radical Islam.

The officials said the Department of Education was still committed to opening the school.

Why? Why doesn't the DOE concentrate on teaching math, histroy, geopgraphy, science (no, not "climate change") and raising our kids math and science scores. We spend more than any industrialized nation on education and rank 27th out of 30 nations in math and science.

ELIMINATE THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. now there's a beginning. Declare the teachers union an abject failure...........fire them all (like the air traffic controllers).There is no living organism left  (more here.)

And speaking of history. It is because so little of it is taught that one would consider such dangerous foolishness.

Not knowing history is worse than ignorance of math, literature, or almost anything else. Ignorance of history is undermining Western society's ability to talk straight and think straight. Parents must attack the problem by teaching their own children the facts. Only fools would rely on the schools. More here.

Even it isn't a breeding ground for radical Islam,which it will be, if NYC is going to pay for a school like that--let them also pay for catholic schools and jewish days schools

I agree with the above statement but the problem is many parents are clueless about history and unable to provide facts, much less context.

I am just astounded that any NYC public school system official could not see that an "Arabic" school is a defacto "religious (Islamic) school.

CAIR and MAS are out to control schooling and many other aspects of American life. If we allow the nose of the camel under the tent so to speak- the camel will enter!
Yidwithlid is right that Arabic schools are religious as were Obama's Islam schools in Indonesia. Kids nowadays get politically corrected history. Parents HAVE to inform them...maybe even homeschool them.
