REFORM PARTY OF SYRIA:
"PELOSI GONE BONKERS?"

Pelosi paid tribute to enslavers of  women. Pelosi celebrated the oppression of women across the Islamic world. Pelosi's has set the reform movement back years according to ReformSyria.Org via LGF here.

As a Muslim, I fully understand respect of our religion by visiting US officials and I applaud that respect. Had Speaker Pelosi worn the Hijab inside a Mosque, this would have indicated respect but for Pelosi to wear it on the streets of Damascus all the while she is sitting with the self-imposed Baschar al-Assad who has come to symbolize oppression and one of the reasons why women are forced to wear the Hijab as they turn to religion to express their freedom is a statement of submittal not only to oppression but also to lack of women’s rights in the Middle East. Pelosi just reversed the work of the Syrian civil society and those who aspire for women’s freedom in the Muslim countries many years back with her visual statement. Her lack of experience of the Middle East is showing.

Read it all.

Dear Pamela;
Nancy Pelosi is a big, dangerous, asshole. And anyone with an I.Q. higher than 75 should know that.
Sincerely;
EJO

According to reports I read, she only put the scarf over her head when entering the mosque, photos with Assad show it around her neck. I am sure that a woman that is the #3 in the US Govt. sends a powerful pro-female message. And to be so bold as to quote myself on the earlier Pelosi bashing post:

"As to the scarf, isn't it polite if not respectful to honor the customs of a
house you are a guest in? As Laura Bush did when she visited al-Aqsa mosque in
Jerusalem?

It's been many years since I was at Temple for a
friends Bar Mitzvah but don't we gentiles wear a yarmukle as a measure of
respect or am I mis-remembering?"

Condi Rice has done the same on occasion and John Paul II has visited this very mosque. THREE Republican reps were in Syria Sunday, no outcry.

And the juvenile name calling is just that. Make your point without being vile.

Pelosi wore her hijab in public, not just in a mosque. The only good thing that she did was cross herself in front of the tomb of John the Baptist, as the Ummayyad mosque was orinally one of the earliest Christian cathedrals.

Even the Washington Post ripped Pelosi for her idiotic trip, going so far as to refer to her trip as an "...attempt to establish a shadow presidency...". The link is here:

Ayn Rand at 100: "Yours is the Glory"

  • Aynrandstamp_1

  • Speaking to the unnamed, unchampioned, beating heart of her new land, Ayn was to say: 'Yours is the glory.'"
    A man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Man as an individual, as a creator. What's the most depraved type of human being? Not a sadist or a murderer or a sex maniac or a dictator; "The man without a purpose." Yet most people seem to go through their lives without a clearly defined purpose.

  • Life has Loveliness to sell,
    All beautiful and splendid things,
    Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
    Soaring fires that sways and swing,
    And children's faces looking up,
    Holding wonder like a cup

    Life has Loveliness to sell,
    Music like a curve of Gold,
    Scent of pinetrees in the rain,
    Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
    And for your spirit's still delight,
    Holy stars that star the night.

    Spend all you have for loveliness,
    Buy it and never count the cost;
    For one white singing hour of Peace
    Count many a year of strife well lost
    And for a breath of ecstasy
    Give all you have been, or could be.
