'Ismail Ax' sparks web frenzy
An indication of how desperately people want to know what is really going on. For Atlas Shrugs, "Ismail Ax" is another Gutenberg moment. The mainstream media abdicates its role as public servant and much like the Danish cartoons, drives an enormous amount of traffic to this and other blogs.
In Islamic lore, Ismail is a reference to the 'son of sacrifice'. More here.
Ismail (note the Arabic spelling) ax -nothing mentioned on the networks or cable news channels but check out the web frenzy:

Very strange that the blog was deleted. Think about it. This entry was on April 12th, 2007. A blog will stays up indefinitely so why was this blog deleted. When and why?
Crime blog investigates this further here.
UPDATE: The media blackout on the "ISMAIL AX" angle of the story is most disconcerrting. David has an excellent post on this here.
But because Cho identified himself with the Religion of Peace, the MSM/DNC cannot even mention the simple fact that these words appeared on Cho's body. Whether it turns out to be an Islamic reference or not, the MSM/DNC's attempt to surpress this fact is, itself, a major story.
There are more posts here.

Who is the student who shot the video? Debbie Schlussel says that it is one of the notorious Barghouti family of terrorists. Hence, a plausible scenario may be that the shooter was a recent convert (hence "Ismail Ax" writing) being "handled" by this Barghouti. That would explain the relatively close proximity Barghouti achieves without getting shot.

Deb: I ran every reference that I could find and could NOT nail the above quote down in any of the print media...anecdotal?

When I wrote that Cho identified himself with the RoP, I meant only the "Ismael Ax" quote on his arm. (I am assuming that no one scrawled it on his body as he lay dead following the shootings.) I have no information other than the Ismael Ax quote and the language from the Koran that is popping up on the web.

How large a presence does muslim groups have on the VT campus and surrounds?
David (assume you're salt-correct me if I'm wrong), I see a commenter at your site says Cho's parents are Xtian. Like that would prevent him from going his own way. The guy is described by virtually everyone as a loser. That's the kind of people drawn to cults and absolutist organizations.
Doc, thanks for taking the time to help!
