Mary Ann Akers at the Washington Post here sounds gleeful at the prospect of the impeachment to be filed on Cheney;
Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), the most liberal of the Democratic presidential candidates in the primary field, declared in a letter sent to his Democratic House colleagues this morning that he plans to file articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney.
Kucinich has made ending the war in Iraq the central theme of his campaign. He has even taken aim at the leading Democratic presidential candidates in the field for their votes on authorizing the war.

Of course the Post doesn't disclose Congressman Dennis Kucinich's reasons for calling for Cheney's impeachment...
But then again... being a liberal means never having to bring specific charges and allegations to start the subpoenas rolling.
As for criminal charges? Who needs criminal charges?
But if you're Nancy Pelosi, you can hobnob with supporters of international terrorism like Bashar Assad -- possibly in violation of the Logan Act, a felony that can carry a prison term of up to three years -- without fear of repercussion.
By now it should be abundantly clear what is happening to this great country.

Tell them that we need more than a weak resolution. Strongly insist that Pelosi either resign of face
immediate impeachment proceedings for her violation of the Logan
Act.
Tell them to show the same zeal and tenacity that liberals showed when they went after
Scooter Libby and are now showing as they go after President Bush and the
Attorney General over the totally legal firings of U.S. District Attorneys.
Point out that Pelosi's trip to Syria was an attack on the U.S. Constitution and
if she is not held to account, the Constitution is nothing more than hollow
words on a piece of paper.
