Failing to Silence Ayann Hirsi Ali, Islamists Call for her Murder
Back on Tuesday I wrote a post here on how Muslims failed to ban/ silence Islam's most reliable witness, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, for the crime of opinion.
Local Islamic leaders push to cancel author's talk at UPJ Tribune Democrat
Leaders of Greater Johnstown’s small Islamic community on Monday pressed Pitt-Johnstown to cancel a talk tonight by a best-selling author who they say has criticized their faith.
But the university said the address by Ayaan Hirsi Ali will go on.
They couldn't ban her, so instead of silencing her they want to kill her.
Pittsburgh Islamic Leader: Ayaan Hirsi Ali Should Be Killed LGF
When ex-Muslim Ayaan Hirsi Ali appeared at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Muslim groups tried to have her speech shut down. And they made it clear that if they had the power, and US law were written according to shari’a, Hirsi Ali would not simply be prohibited from speaking.
According to the president of the Johnstown Islamic Center, Imam Fouad ElBayly, she’d be dead.
And in a perfect example of the bizarre disconnect between reality and the shiny happy multicultural world of the media, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review calls this a “debate on religious freedom.”
This isn’t in Afghanistan. It’s in Pittsburgh.
Islamic leaders tried to block the lecture, which was sponsored through an endowment from the Frank J. and Sylvia T. Pasquerilla Lecture Series. They argued that Hirsi Ali’s attacks against the Muslim faith in her book, “Infidel,” and movie, “Submission,” are “poisonous and unjustified” and create dissension in their community.
Although university officials listened to Islamic leaders’ concerns, the lecture planned last year took place Tuesday evening under tight security, with no incidents.
Imam Fouad ElBayly, president of the Johnstown Islamic Center, was among those who objected to Hirsi Ali’s appearance.
“She has been identified as one who has defamed the faith. If you come into the faith, you must abide by the laws, and when you decide to defame it deliberately, the sentence is death,” said ElBayly, who came to the U.S. from Egypt in 1976. ...
Although ElBayly believes a death sentence is warranted for Hirsi Ali, he stressed that America is not the jurisdiction where such a crime should be punished. Instead, Hirsi Ali should be judged in a Muslim country after being given a trial, he added.
“If it is found that a person is mentally unstable, or a child or disabled, there should be no punishment,” he said. “It’s a very merciful religion if you try to understand it.”

Most Muslim mosques in the US are funded by Saudi Wahaabist's that promote an extreme form of Islam. It is not surprizing that one of their leaders would suggest murdering someone that has strayed from their teachings. Moderates within the Islamic community in the US are shunned or threatened. We in the US are under seige from Islamic fanatics and if we do not respond forcefully, we will face the same problem that France,England and other nations have with a restless militant Islamic population.

“It’s a very merciful religion if you try to understand it.” And, if you do not try to understand it, i.e., if you do not agree that Islam is merciful, then some Muslim will kill you.

Terrence: you are right on the money. I will go a bit further:
“It’s a very merciful religion if you try to understand it.” It is so merciful, in fact, that people are stoned to death, put in sacks and thrown from cliffs, and/or burned to death if they are guilty of adultery, homosexual acts, being immodest (women, only), or conversion to another religion (other than Islam).
Otherwise, it is clear that Islam is a very merciful religion.

“It’s a very merciful religion if you try to understand it.” Merciful to Muslims only -- but even they are NOT allowed to question anything about it.
I think what he means about "trying to understand it" is understanding how one must submit or die! Isn't that what Mohammad (police beat upon him) taught?

Is it legal in this country to openly put a "hit" on a person? A pronounciation like this from an Imam is nothing less than solicitation for murder. Anyone else would be in jail.

"Although ElBayly believes a death sentence is warranted for Hirsi Ali, he stressed that America is not the jurisdiction where such a crime should be punished."
Good judgment on his part, as solicitation to commit murder is a felony. I'm glad he made it clear that he did not mean that someone should do it here.
This is why (contrary to some suggestions in the aftermath of the VA Tech shootings that LEGAL aliens not be allowed to own guns), people like Ms. Ali should be allowed to own firearms in the U.S. even if they are not citizens. Guns deter all but the most bestial Islamofascists from reverting to their typical behavior in civilized countries.
