Not sure if you notice how al Reuters, AP and the tools of the jihad cropped the shiny, happy British soldiers return picture. One uncropped photo made it ............ check out the guy on the right. Hat tip Beryl (listen to our show tonight on 940 AM - The World at War.)

Note that the person cropped out was flashing two fingers at the camera ... A "Vee" with the back of the hand facing you is an act of defiance ... british longbowmen would flash it at the French enemy ... standard practice for the French was to amputate those two fingers from captured longbowmen to see to it they could not shoot a longbow again.
They may have cropped him out to save his life, as he was still a prisoner then.
Us soldiers captured by the North Koreans flashed their middle fingers at propaganda photographers ... some moron in the press blabbed, and the POW were punished severely afterwards.
