ATLAS SHRUGS BANNED IN CHINA
Great Firewall of China hat tip Jules Crittenden
Test your favorite site to see if it may be viewed by the peasants of the Middle Kingdom.
I am, my dear Atlasites, banned in China. Surprised? Me neither. I am everything the chicoms wish to destroy, muzzle, snuff out. I have exposed China here too many times to recount. They are monstrous aggressors against their own people. I am sure we can thank google for China's stealth censorship.
Their malevolence is in every action whether domestically when harvesting the organs of long oppressed members of the Falun Gong, or regionally when $upporting the murderous Islamic regime of Sudan or internationally, "actively pursuing an "Assassin's Mace" (shashoujian) space warfare program--the elusive term refers to an astonishing array of futuristic technologies--while advocating arms control accords aimed at preventing the United States from developing and deploying defensive and offensive space-based weapons." (more on Assasin's mace over at China Confidential here.)
April 2nd: China fueling Pacific arms race

Just think Pam, you are in such good company...who needs 'em.
Does that comment make me a racist?

Who needs them? Ask that question to any manufacturer that has their production centers in China. They will say "WE need them...to make more profit." The leaders (both political and business) in this country will gladly trade people's freedom for a chance to make more money.

My site, friendlygrizzly.wordpress.com, is banned as well. And it really IS a ban, because a correspondent of mine who is in China at the moment, says it will not come up.

Pam,
Something fishy here.
My WeaverClan.com, my ExpreacherMan.wordpress.com, Wordpress.com and Google.com are all "banned."
What gives -- even friendly Google?

If one have aa blog which one think chinese people reads I don't think one shall test it with this tool!
I have a swedish blog, virtually not readed by any chinese (a swedish blogger in Hongkong read it before though), and i used this tool and my blog -- up and running for three years -- was not banned in China... BUT a few hours later it WAS banned. Why? The chinese server used the data send to it and blocked my blog.
So if you don't wanna be banned in China, don't use this "feature" with a server in china controlled by chinese authoriries (of course).

The Chicoms fear information and truth, just like any good communists, more than guns and armies. They know that our ideals of freedom, liberty and the right to private property and to live as you wish are the most powerful tools in our sack.
They know that these ideals can be infectious and can spread quickly. Just look at what a little taste caused in the late 80's.
China has a tiger by the tale in trying to maintain a veneer of a free market and at the same time attempting to supress their peoples desires for freedom and individual rights.
It can't be done folks. No way.. Not without massive, overt and strong force used against their own people, something the Chicoms are well aware of and capable of doing.
I've advocated for over 10 years now that China represents the greatest threat to the U.S. Both militarily and economically.
Even more so that the islamic totalitarians currently running amok across the planet.
China has the resources both in material and manpower, coupled with a populace that enjoys a very high degree of intelligence and capacity to learn and adapt, to be a major player on the world stage and to challenge U.S. dominance, especially economic, in ways that not even the Japanese were able to accomplish.
The 21st century is going to be a VERY interesting time my friends. Very interesting...

This tool send URL information to China, where it is checked if it is banned. If not it may be added n their "ban list".
SO DON'T USE THIS TOOL! You will just supply censorship of China with URL-information on sites which should not be banned and becomes banned becaused you give them information.
Oh well, send them the the URL michaelmoore.com or other evil sites!

My little site was not banned after years up and running, but one day after using this tool and "Not banned" it had changed to "Banned". Why? Because I used the tool that send my URL to a chinese state controled server. Stupid me! I may have lost a regular reader in Hongkong (as well as potential Swedish readers in China).
SO, NOT USE THIS TOOL OR ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO. It is a chinese clever way to reduces freedom. Swedens highest ranked political right blogger also had this (naive) tip.

Pamela,
You should wear it as a badge of honor to be banned by such a repressive regime as China! I only feel sorry for the freedom-loving or freedom-seeking Chinese people. My guess is that one of their overeducated (and US educated) PhD computer scientists will find a way around the restrictions.
ExPreacher: I think that maybe the Google site that is banned is the non-commie-approved version. Google has followed their motto of 'Do Evil' by making a special version of their utility that meets the special 'needs' of the Chinese government and (probably) other totalitarian states.
