Arab Reaction to Virginia Tech Massacre
Brazilian NeoCon sends this link to LGF, with this remark,"To me, the most telling thing came from the Al Jazeera website. It gave a pretty good account of what happened, but ommitted any mention of Liviu Librescu, the Israeli Holocaust survivor who gave his life saving his students. I thought that was terrible. They made sure everyone knew the killer was Korean. They even covered Bush's remarks, but ignored his words about Librescu."
Blogger Basharee Murtadd went looking for reactions on Arab web sites to the mass murders committed at Virginia Tech, and while it's pretty clear that Seung Hui Cho was simply insane (and not on a personal jihad ), the jihadis are eager to claim him as one of their own:The Difference between Jews and Muslims.
And now, turning to our peace-loving Muslims at an Arabic Islamic forum, I translate some of their ‘condolences’:
Al-Jazeera reported 20 dead and 29 injured. Praise be to Allah.
Praise be to Allah for these calamities hitting America. By the will of Allah, more of this [will happen], following their defeat in Iraq and Afghanistan.
O Allah, keep America busy with itself, and enamor its people against it.
And on this site, the massacre is being referred to as “The Great Ghazwa of Virginia”:
(Ghazwa means ‘raid’ in Arabic, referring to the battles Muhammad and his followers fought against the non-Muslims)
Translation: “The first picture of the South Korean Shaikh, Abu Mus’Ab Al-Virgini [the Virginian]” (an attempt to make him seem like Abu Mus’Ab Al-Zarqawi)

The more you try to connect this tragedy of mental illness and murder to your delusional conspiracy theories re the global jihad, the more you convince readers that you are speeding off the tracks.
Get help.

"It gave a pretty good account of what happened, but ommitted any mention of Liviu Librescu, the Israeli Holocaust survivor who gave his life saving his students."
CBS planned a hourlong "48 Hours Mystery" on the shootings anchored by Couric.
CBS also failed to mention how Liviu Librescu's actions saved his students in their 48 Hours Special on Tues :-(.

Some have posted to this site that Atlas' reporting of Islamic reaction to the killings is "delusional" and "speeding off the tracks". I disagree, this type of reporting is extremely relevant.
Although Pamela and I disagree on whether it makes sense to focus on "Ismail Ax" or "A. Ishmael" on these pages because there is little to no indication that this deranged monster was participating in a Jihadist conspiracy - it is completely valid and interesting news to see what the Islamist reaction to this tragedy is. The only proper response is "what a terrible tragedy, I feel bad for the senseless killing of innocent lives". If Muslims are praising this killer as a hero, then they should be exposed. I don't think Atlas has ever posted on this site praise for the killing of innocent Muslims in Iraq or elsewhere by homocide bombers. On the contrary, she points out the extreme evil of it in a way that the local news no longer does - CNN and Fox just report homocide bombings as if there were a weather aberration - Atlas tells it like it is and only condemns the murderer and those who are responsible for funding, training and applauding the murderer. She also condemns the society that is permissive and supportive of homocide murderers.
So, those of you who are painting Atlas in a bad light for reporting on Arab reaction owe Pamela an apology - she is not asserting a conspiracy theory when she shows the horrid reactions of the insensitive people she cites - she is showing, unvarnished, the mentality of many in the Muslim world who don't place much value on human life.
I don't like the terror-funding policies of the government of Iran, but, when an earthquake in Iran causes hundreds of deaths, I don't think you will see contributors to this site praising the Lord for killing innocent people. If Ahmadikewad and the Ayatollahs were taken in such a fashion - that would be a different story.
If you are posting that Atlas is delusional, you should ask yourself if you are not the delusional one - because your reaction to the quotes cited by Pamela should be disgust and sadness, just as your reaction to the killings at Virginia Tech should be disgust and sadness.

WIKIPEDIA:
Jose Padilla and Timothy McVeigh are thought to have met at least once. Both of them at one time lived in the greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. Following Jose Padilla's arrest, several media outlets pointed to a resemblance between Padilla and police sketches of an Oklahoma City bombing suspect known as "John Doe No. 2".
