Pelosi and a handful of her least distinguished Democratic colleagues – Rep. John Dingell, D-MI, Rep. John Conyers, D-MI, Rep. Charles Rangel, D-NY, among others – met with unnamed "leaders of the Muslim American community" to discuss issues of mutual concern.

According to the press releases issued by both Democrats and the secretive cell of unelected – perhaps even unindicted – leaders of the Muslim American community, the key concern for one and all was civil rights and the restoration of civil liberties.

Now, if you think these Muslim Americans were concerned with the lack of civil liberties in Sudan, Somalia, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia or any other Islamic nation in the world, you would be mistaken. Their concern is for the complete absence of civil rights here in the U.S. This should give you an idea of the intellectual honesty of the secret, unnamed cabal that met with members of Congress.

They believe that civil liberties are most in need of restoration here in the U.S. – not in Dar al-Islam.

So what would such men have in common with these congressional Democrats?

"This discussion is only the first in an ongoing dialogue between congressional Democrats and Muslim Americans," explained Pelosi. "We share a fundamental principle – the belief that diversity is the backbone of our communities. Generations of Muslims have made positive contributions in every aspect of American life. We must now work even more closely to navigate through the challenges we face as a nation."

Pelosi continued: "Since September 11th, many Muslim Americans have been subjected to searches at airports and other locations based upon their religion and national origin, without any credible information linking individuals to criminal conduct. Racial and religious profiling is fundamentally un-American and we must make it illegal."

What does that mean?

It means, if Pelosi gets her way, airport screeners will think twice about searching a Muslim, an Arab, an Arab-American or anyone who might look like one of the above. Even a random search upon one of these members of a newly protected class could result in a lawsuit, a suspension, a firing or a fine.

Read it all and weep. Then fight back.

House Democrats unveiled their plan today to bring terrorists from Gitmo to the American Homeland, Mike Allen of Politico reported today here.

Chief Deputy Republican Whip Eric Cantor released the following statement in response to the Democrat plan to import terrorists to the United States said here;

"This shocking lack of judgment demonstrates that liberal Democrats do not understand that these terrorists want to kill Americans and destroy our way of life.  These dangerous, terrible people should not be allowed into our country."

Dear Pamela;
This kind of information, has for a long time, lead me to believe that Pelosi, and her confederates do not give a damn about national security. In my view these words are highly unpatriotic. And they send a signal to Muslim terrorist, and Muslims in general, that the severely liberal in this country, don't care if bombs go off in our schools, our subways, or our buildings.
Now, as before, power in government is the chief reason for being in politics. And not the people. And not national security.
This is how the democrat socialist think. This how they operate.
This why we need someone like Bolton, or Gingrich in the Whitehouse.

More thought control. Everyone profiles. They may not ACT on the profiling, but they profile. Pelosi is profiling as she speaks by saying people who profile (everybody, including her sorry ass) are un-American. But, and here is the part she and other leftists like, people who profile on a basis THEY decide is immoral, those people are not only un-American, they should be imprisoned. This goes beyond what we're living with now -- required re-education camps, a.k.a. rehab. But once that is accepted throughout society, incarceration for politically impure thought is the next logical step.

I think I may have mentioned this before, but I have a former colleague who now works for the TSA. She told me, in no uncertain terms, that they are NOT to EVER search someone based on ethnicity or country of origin. Adding religiosity to the mix is the next step. My joke (that got a big inhale of disapproval from a liberal friend) was that the shortest way through the security check at the airport is to wear a full Arabic headwear and robe (sorry, I don't know the correct names).

We are doomed unless we figure it out as a country (and soon!).

the left still regards islamic terrorism as a simple criminal matter. they do not see a gobal jihad that has the aim of making the entire world muslim. with leaders like her, we will all be forced to convert or be enslaved to islam.
