UN Pimps for Islamazis in Attack on Jerusalem
How disgusting the United Nations is. Truly Madly Deeply. The Palestinian Arabs have committed the greatest archaeological crime in human history and the United Nations has the temerity to question the gatekeeper and caretaker to all that is holy. Preserving the holies of the holies. The Jews value and respect all relgions and all that is sacred. If only her enemies shared her values. David Gelertner has a piece over at the The Weekly Standard that examines the rewriting of history in the battle for Jerusalem. Read it all here.
Gelertner shows how the Islamic authorities are using the "ramp" controversy for political reasons and how they have been systematically destroying irreplaceable Jewish and Christian archaeological artifacts on the Temple Mount. More here
Back in June 2006, Natan Sharansky decried the destruction of great historic artifacts here;
For a number of years already, there is the selected destruction of Christian/Jewish artifacts which is of course the center for Jewish/Christian religion. On the temple mount, King Solomon stables up to the cruaders on...........when the taliban destroyed the buddas in Afghanistan all the world was corrextly enraged. Here we see the systematic, the biggest maybe in the history of geology/archeology, destruction of the most important artifacts for Christianity and Judaism. And the world knows nothing of this.
Nobody is permitted to go and see and watch whats happening. Excavators are working there. They are taking thousands and thousands of pounds and thousands of artifacts and simply thrown out. It is perhaps one the largest archeological catastrophes in history.
It is not accidental that Arafat said to Clinton at Camp David that the history of the Temple Mount is something made up by the Jews.
Sign the One Jerusalem petition to preserve the Temple Mount.
Now, it appears, the UN is shilling for the killers. It is not that the UN is just irrelevant, it is malevolent and gives voices to the Check out this farce;
A United Nations anti-racism panel has questioned Israel's policy on preserving holy sites, asking the country to explain whether it protects places considered sacred to religions other than Judaism.
Israel is expected to go later this week before the panel of 18 independent experts overseeing compliance with the United Nations' 38-year-old anti-racism treaty — a hearing that could fuel the debate over an Israeli construction project at Jerusalem's disputed hilltop compound known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary. The project has prompted protests among Palestinians and others in the Muslim world.
Oh to be a fly on the wall when Israel verbally destroys the mocchers and the looters at the UN. Where is the UN in the Islamic fatwa to destroy relgious sites and holy shrines. *SPIT*
Yaron Frost, a spokesman for the tourism ministry, said Israel has not given the special designation to any sites — even Jewish ones — for nearly four decades. He said non-Jewish sites have "total autonomy."
"Israel doesn't interfere by making declarations about the regulation of holy sites that are not Jewish out of a sensitivity for the religions involved and a concern that declaring a site holy would be seen as interference in the oversight," he said.
