It's pretty clear that the airing of Glenn Beck's EXPOSED: The Extremist Agenda and FOX's OBSESSION a few weeks back woke up the brass at cable news channels that America is acutely aware of the mortal danger and tunes in big time when the media does its job as public servant and attempts to explain and investigate the enemy we face.
Tonight there was an interesting juxtaposition at play on FOX and CNN. FOX ran a a superb piece, “Smokescreen: Herbal Inside America” hosted by the brave investigative reporter David Asman. It was brilliant. Terrific. It was an investigative piece - "an exhaustive FOX News report about a Hezbollah
cell that was operating for several years in Charlotte, North Carolina.
FOX followed the many tentacles of this cell, which extended far beyond
Charlotte — to Michigan, to the West Coast, to Canada and to Beirut,
Lebanon, where most of the members were from. FOX News spent months
tracking this story to all these places and more."
I cover the jihad everyday and I found it fascinating, enlightening, and important. Charlotte, North Carolina was not on my radar screen and the expose of a wildly successful criminal infrastructure of terror funding here in the US was a real eye opener.
I am sure I was not the only Jew ashamed, embarrassed and disgusted by the jewicidal Stanley Cohen, infamous vile lawyer to Hamas and Hezbollah, invoking (in a thoroughly repulsive way) the Jewish struggle, the Holocaust, to deceive Asman and the American people into giving the poor "railroaded" terrorists a break (a pardon perhaps?) Yeah, right. That notwithstanding, I hope this is the first in a series. As Louis Brandeis said, sunlight is the best disinfectant.
Appearing on CNN, the Crescent News Network, we had Christiane Amanpour's "The War Within." What a pathetic excuse of apologist reporting.
What struck us most was how deeply the Iraq war has radicalized today's generation of young Muslims in Britain. Whether extreme or mainstream, they are angry about the war, angry that their country so devotedly follows U.S. foreign policy, angry at what they see as a worldwide war against Muslims and Islam.
Amanpour is a jihadi tool and the special was propaganda for the leftist/Islamic alliance. It was a crushing disappointment but typical of Amanpour and that sorry excuse of a news channel.
She does admit;
In our investigation, we found shocking evidence of the bigotry, intolerance and hatred preached by some Muslim fundamentalists in the UK. We met men like Anjem Choudary of the now-banned Al-Mahajiroon extremist group, who denounces democracy and predicts Britain will be ruled by Sharia, Islamic law.
SHOCKA! It's on tomorrow night. Check it out. It's pure Amanpour - America bashing at its finest.
Off topic but related: More fireworks are expected on CNN tomorrow morning when CNN's Reliable Sources (!10 am EST) has Dan Riehl from the blog Riehl World View and Mike Stark, king of the tin foil asshats, having at it. This is MUST SEE TV. (hat tip LGF)
I wonder if they'll give Dan legit face time. You know how the left loves to scream over the conservative speech. Seems they are afraid that American might actually hear the truth.
Dan writes ;
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at this below from Mike Stark, it probably isn't the first time he's issued a threat upon which he doesn't have a prayer of delivering.
I don’t mean to be a dick, but the truth is by the time the 6-7 minute segment is over, CNN will want to hire me as a sanitation engineer because I will have mopped the floor with Mr. Riehl… Mike Stark
Hopefully I'll have a few minutes tomorrow courtesy of CNN's Reliable Sources to point out that from throwing pies at conservative lecturers and guests, to physically assaulting Jim Gilchrist of Minuteman fame, see Hot Air and Michelle Malkin for more on that - to trying to shut down The Path to 9/11 and now the KSFO incident while Dennis Kucinich talks about bringing back the Fairness Doctrine, this is all in fact part of the Left's on going effort to shut down conservative rhetoric whenever and wherever they can.
It appears that political hack Mike Stark, now allegedly offended at some conservative speech via KSFO in San Francisco displayed no such sensitivity as to what went out over the air in the case documented in this photo when he made sure some vulgarity made its way into a broadcast of Fox's Hannity and Colmes.
As you can see from the bragging about it later while still holding the sign, it wasn't an accident, but another planned political stunt lacking in the kind of principle which would allow a clown like Stark to be genuinely outraged over the issue at KSFO.
UPDATE January 21 11am: On my way to a basketball game so I can't fisk the damn thing but here's the money quote in the Riehl/Stark debate on CNN;
STARK: "I am the champion of the first amendment . Of free speech [huh? the point of his argument is to shut down conservative talk]
The more their [the right] speech is heard by reasonable people like you and me the more they marginalize themselves..... I want their voices heard by everyone in America [ha!]
When challenged by Riehl about Stark's ability to make judgments about what's outrageous in media today ............
Stark:[...] I was on FOX, I stood behind Colmes during a viewing of Hannity and Colmes with a sign that said Hannity Sucks Ass . All I did was tell the truth.
Ah yes, the reasonable people of the left.
And here's a tip for CNN, give equal time to both speakers.
UPDATE: Hot Air has the video here.
