No, Hillary: it takes a mom and a dad
That Hillary is "the candidate" gives an indication of how bad of things are. She is my Senator and has achieved nothing. Nothing (not to mention her checkered past, not that that matters - the left get away with anything.)Yes she was re-elected but in the state of the Democratic political machine. New York politics is worse now than in days of Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall.
It takes a village, my ass. I've got four kids, I do it all. If I left it to the village, they'd be smoking crack cocaine. My kingdom for a Jacksonian Democrat.
Fausta has a great post and video of Billary's appearance on the here;
Can we possibly believe that Hillary Clinton has any credibility in family matters? This is a woman who's been married to a man who dragooned the country into the most public illicit affair in modern history while all the while insisting that it was all
a fabrication of a "vast right-wing" conspiracy" (her words). This is a woman who in page 11 of her own book says,
Everywhere we look, children are under assault: from violence and neglect, from the break-up of families...
As Kay S. Hymowitz asked, Remember New York senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan's apocalyptic prophecy that millions of children "would be put to the sword" if welfare reform became law? Well, Moynihan was right. The culture of dependence on government, which Hillary so proudly believes in, tore those lives apart, for generations to come.
Hillary's book continues,
...from the temptations of alcohol, tobacco, sex
Thus speaks the wife who publicly countenanced her husband's perverse insistence that oral sex is not sex - and allow me to remind you that back in the 1990s those of us with children gave up cable TV because we didn't want to have to explain to the kid(s) what oral sex meant.
...from greed, materialism, and spiritual emptiness.
... and from Whitewater, commodities trading payola, and Marc Rich and his ex-wife, too.
Of course, The View would never ever raise such unpleasantness to the "next mom POTUS". And heavens forbid that we mention the excellent Bush economy, or the existential menace from terrorism.
Mary Grabar today has an article on The girls on The View
But it's a sign of our crumbling civilization that a bunch of girls of varying ages and ethnic backgrounds, sitting around all dressed up for a coffee klatch, some of them with cleavage spilling out of Victoria's Secret Infinity Edge Push-Up bras, spout off opinions borrowed from disturbed teenagers and Michael Moore, and call it a talk show.
This was the danger of giving women the vote.
There's more here.
UPDATE: Speaking of Parenting. Gabbana (Dolce and Gabbana) believes in ma and pa too. Via Drudge;
Gay designer STEFANO GABBANA is against the idea of same sex couples becoming parents, because he believes children need both a mother and a father.

Thank you!
My kingdom for a Jacksonian Democrat.
I had the same thought while I wrote the post.

Imagine Hillary and Obama the Great on one ticket. Jeez. All that bowing and scraping towards Washington five times a day...how will we be able to get anything done?

That photo is Hillar-i-o-u-s!
"It takes a village, my ass. I've got four kids, I do it all."
From what I've seen, you're super mom! That little image of you as super woman is most fitting. Taking care of the kids, blogger extraordinare, keeping your readers informed on the important news, politically savvy, radio show host, highly intelligent, wonderful sense of humor, beautifully attractive, irresistibly sexy, and a natural born leader. Billary should be so talented.
We must, simply must, remind people of who she really is. I'll say one thing about Hillary; she is an expert at transforming herself to fit the crowd she's addressing at the moment. This woman is dangerous.

This has me wondering:
The title of the post: IT TAKES A MOM AND A DAD; then you follow with the statement "I've got four kids, I do it all."
What's Papa-Bear doing with all his free time and where is he doing it???

A mom and a dad are the ideal situation. But we all know, for a variety of reasons, that that isn't always possible. Hillary and others of her ilk (see 'The View') imply that husbands really aren't needed for raising a healthy, well adjusted child. Pamela, and other women with good sense, know that isn't true. Any child is better off with both parents.
A balance of the firmness and guidance from the father in his masculine role combined with a caring and loving mother in her feminine role are both needed. Neither is replacable. Well, you know what I mean. Hope you do.
The absense of the father will be felt by the kids in one way or another. Just my opinion. Kids should see a father and a mother who love each other, setting the example for their lives as well.

The Preamble to the Constitution commits the federal government to "Secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity."
Billary's use of the African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child," seems to imply that the government's role in the social and economic welfare of many people should be expanded even more that it is today (shades of Communism). Billary is a great believer in the welfare state. She seems to forget that there are limits to what the tax-payers can bear. Wouldn't a better approach be to increase the productive members of society and therefore the tax-payer base?
Living on welfare should hopefully be temporary and only for those who really need it. Not a way of life. Two-parent households is the best way to help achieve that.

I still think that you should take that photoshopped pic of Billary down. It makes my skin crawl and my stomach heave.
You are right; Senator Clinton has not yet done anything but talk and obstruct.
I have a hunch that one day soon the country will learn how involved she really was in the most controversial failures of her husband's administration.

It takes a village to raise an idiot.

OMG.
That's a gross pic you have posted. Bill and Hitlery have been mating so long that this is the end result, eh?

The picture was formed by superimposing their asses on top of each other.
