MEDIA: POWER WITHOUT ACCOUNTABILITY
If these stories tell us anything, it's that too much power is amassed in one largely agenda driven organization. Where are the Senate hearings? Flop broke the story, "More News from the Enemy", Brian follows up here;
Nope, we're not parading for the cameras. (Notice the guy in blue - Is he looking to someone for directions?)

I was offline when the inital story came out, but Flopping Aces has noticed that we might have a "new Qana" in Iraq.
According to reports coming across the wire, a U.S. airstrike has killed 20 people, amongst them women and children, and sparked "intense" protests against "imperial American forces."
To add to the story, this is not the first time that "atrocities" have been alleged at al-Ishaqi. March 2006 was before Snapped Shot's epoch, though, so I don't really have anything beyond that, yet.
Sound familiar? I thought so.
The left-o-sphere is up in arms about this event, accepting the press account of the story at face value. After all, everyone knows the United States is always the murderous bad guy, right?
On the other hand, the right-o-sphere is skeptical of the claims forwarded by already-suspect sources. They are bolstered by a CENTCOM press release which states uneqivocally that there is no indication that civilians were killed in the attack.
I believe CENTCOM.

I know that we have a lot of well educated folks at this site, and so, would one of you be so kind as to explain to me why the American media seems so hell bent on selling us down the river. What do they have to gain? Don't they know that as soon as the ME bunch would take over they are going to be the first to be shut down ? How stupid can you get.

DD, I think they honestly and tryly believe that the US (and Isreal) is the cause of all the problems in the ME. The believe it to the core of their being.
They also truly believe that if Isreal disappeared and the US completely left the ME that all problems over there would disappear.
Much in the manner that the Soviet Union was a worker's paradise and had only people's best interests in mind. Ditto for Mao's China.
Of course, there are no facts to support their position, just wishful fantasy, but they still believe. Pretty much what they accuse Christians of. This is why some people call leftism a religion.
