EYEWITNESS NEWS has learned that federal investigators and airport police are questioning six Middle Eastern men who had to be escorted off of a plane Monday afternoon at Minneapolis/St. Paul International.
U.S. Airway officials tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS' Aviation Expert Bob McNaney that Monday while Flight 300 was preparing to take off from Minneapolis to Phoenix, a passenger passed a note to a flight attendant saying they noticed 'suspicious behavior,' among the men.
The men would not get off the plane when asked, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has learned, and had to be removed by police.
Sources tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that the men were chanting 'Allah, Allah, Allah,' as they were transported down the jetway.
UPDATE: FOX reporting the men are complaining they were treated disrespectfully.

CAIR CALLS FOR PROBE INTO DETENTION OF IMAMS IN MINNESOTA
Religious leaders handcuffed, 'humiliated' during US Airways incident(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/21/06) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called for an investigation into the actions of security personnel and US Airways crew members during an incident in Minnesota in which six Imams, or Islamic religious leaders, were taken off a flight at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport because of "suspicious activity."
Note the quotes around suspicious activity. Bless those alert Americans on the plane - they know better than to leave their security to the PC infected government orgs.
[CAIR's Arizona office will hold a news conference Tuesday morning in Phoenix in reaction to the incident. When: 9:30 a.m. (local time), Where: CAIR-AZ Office, 202 E. McDowell Rd., Suite 165, Phoenix, AZ, Contact: CAIR-AZ Civil Rights Director Mohammed AbuHannoud, 602-460-9987]
The Imams, who were questioned Monday evening by authorities and then released, told CAIR that they were removed from the US Airways flight "for no reason" and were "humiliated" by being handcuffed and taken off the plane in the view of other passengers. They suspect the "suspicious activity" cited by authorities was the performance of normal evening prayers offered by members of the group.
The detained Imams also denied media reports that they refused to leave the plane or that they chanted "Allah" as they were escorted from the flight.
So all those eyewitnesses were lying eh?
US Airways is now reportedly refusing to allow the Imams to take another flight.
SEE: 6 Imams Removed from Flight at U.S. Airport, Questioned (AP)All of the detained Imams, several of whom are from Arizona, were in Minnesota to attend a conference of the North American Imams Federation (NAIF). A representative of the FBI was invited to attend the conference.
"We are concerned that crew members, passengers and security personnel may have succumbed to fear and prejudice based on stereotyping of Muslims and Islam," said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. "We call on relevant authorities to investigate whether proper procedures were followed by security personnel and members of the US Airways flight crew."
Awad added that public prayer is not a threat to safety or security and should not be viewed as suspicious or criminal activity.
CAIR, America's largest Islamic civil liberties group, has 32 offices and chapters nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
Notice how jihad loving AP fails to mention the CAIR's terror ties.
The crew claimed they were acting strangely, the imams said they were "just praying." ALLAH AKBAR!

6 imams removed from Twin Cities flight
MINNEAPOLIS -- Six Muslim imams were removed from a US Airways flight at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Monday and questioned by police for several hours before being released, a leader of the group said.
The six were among passengers who boarded Flight 300, bound for Phoenix, around 6:30 p.m., airport spokesman Pat Hogan said.
A passenger initially raised concerns about the group through a note passed to a flight attendant, according to Andrea Rader, a spokeswoman for US Airways. She said police were called after the captain and airport security workers asked the men to leave the plane and the men refused.
"They took us off the plane, humiliated us in a very disrespectful way," said Omar Shahin, of Phoenix.
Boo-freakin-hoo, we are at war. You are either with us or against us.
Plot to bomb passenger plane in Germany
uncovered - Can't be too careful nowadays.

This is just some more "in-your-face" prayers, burqua wearing, prayer rug kneeling, bulls--t. How many middle eastern men did you see openly praying, say, two years ago? This is "lets scare the infidels" and maybe the next real bomber can get by with it. Kick 'em off and lock 'em up.

Part of a strategy?
"Khaled and his friends were pretty unhappy about it, and while in New York, they came up with a plan to "teach a lesson" to the passengers and crew. You can imagine the story Khaled told. He described how he and his friends whispered to each other on the flight, made simultaneous visits to the restroom, and generally tried to "spook" the other passengers. He laughed when he described how several women were in tears, and one man sitting near him was praying.
The others in the room thought the story was quite amusing, judging from the laughter. The imam stood up and told the group that this was a kind of peaceful civil disobedience that should be encouraged, and commended Khaled and his friends for their efforts.
He pointed out that it was through this kind of civil disobedience that ethnic profiling would fail."

This IS part of a strategy, they are using our political correctness and rights of speech and religion against us.
We must continue to be vigilant and take swift action, not look away and let them tighten their grip.
CAIR immediately sprang into action, exactly the way a front for radical Islam should.

I've been trying to get the airlines to keep these nut jobs off the planes for years for the simple reason that they don't wear deodorant. Allah Snackbar!

It's a 2-pronged part of their training.
1. "Purposeful Provocation" - see how officials and bystanders will react in order to use it in the future.
2. "Sue" - to discourage officials and bystanders from reacting in the future.

You're absolutely right. This IS a war and you're either with us or against us. I was very troubled to hear that Pamela didn't see the need for security checks when flying a couple months ago. Now that they've arrested some Muslims on a plane, I'm sure she'll see things differently.

R4 - Pam's young daughter (11?) was pulled aside and screened and she didn't sue anyone, asshole.

Don't call me names. Good security screens everyone. Period. That's they way El Al does it. How many terrorist attacks have there been on El Al flights in the last 30 years?

9 Rich, she's 9 ........... CAIR doesn't care about 9 year olds, just imams. And it was the passengers that alerted the authorities.
The authorities did not shake down the imams, they shook down my 9 year old, the point of that vlog btw.

Don't worry about the fuckin names (asshole). That's the least of your worries. You missed the whole point of the thread. Muslims use provoking behavior and then scream and SUE when searched, in order to avoid future searches. WAKE THE FUCK UP dumbass.

I'm betting there were more than six healthy male passengers on that flight. Only takes one to organize others and politely ask some other passengers to swap seats so our six (or eight or ten) huskies can sit close by whoever is acting up.
Eemom Schmeemom.

Somebody's confused. El Al employs the best profiling in the world.
Posted by: turn | Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 02:25 PM
turn's right, El Al would've stopped and throughly questioned and searched all of them, they don't let them skip on by and leave it up to the passengers US Airways did. WTF is wrong with the screeners? PC is killing us.
Posted by: Richard Davis | Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 02:41 PM
Rich: Have you flown out of a major American airport in the last five years? NOBODY skips on by. All carry-on luggage is x-rayed and seen by at least two or three pairs of eyeballs; a decent amount of it is thoroughly gone through by hand as well.
I travel quite a bit and I've seen plenty of people pulled out of line and searched from head to toe, been required to partially disrobe, and had their luggage searched in exquisite detail. Heck, it's happended to me, my wife (and SHE works for an airline!) and my six year-old son.
This wasn't a situation where potential evil-doers eluded the lax efforts of your Homeland Security goons, it was a situation where paranoid passengers couldn't handle the sound of Middle Eastern men speaking, singing, chanting or whatever it is they do in a language the passengers couldn't understand.
Go get the Kinks' album "Give The People What They Want" from 1981. Play the tune Destroyer. Crank it up:
"silly boy you got so much to live for
so much to aim for, so much to try for
you blow it all with, paranoia
you're so insecure you, self-destroyer"

They were tipped off by a woman who speaks and understands Arabic. They were intentionally attempting to test the system. If your 17 year old began testing the local police, they'd bust him for it and he would be their number one suspect for years to come.
We need to dump the PC bullshit and kick some ass. We need to stop supplying Imams to prisoners. We need to debate that Islam is a death cult masked as a religion. Let's stomp them out for once and for all.
Those among us who think these muzzie bastards are just religious civilians, need a lobotomy. Report to my office in the morning. I'm offering group rates.

R4 --
El Al profiles for terrorists and potentially disruptive passengers. Launching into profanities unprovoked will raise a red flag for any El Al screener. As will anyone looking nervous or hurried. A sad fact about air travel today is that if you're nervous and sweating because you ran to make it to the airport, you'll probably get the "special treatment" from TSA. If you're visibly drunk and/or belligerant, even more so.
Posted by: Robert4 | Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 07:54 PM
It makes as much sense to screen me at the airport in uniform with a military ID as it does to listen in on my phone calls all day long. Don't exert energy where it's not going to give you a yield. Hmmm, should we screen an Arab Muslim single male or a married patriotic Jewish Army officer with his kids? Yes, "Paranoia" is a song by the Kinks, and it ends there. You misconstrue paranoia with vigilence, the same vigilence that could have prevented Pearl Harbor, the same vigilence Clinton could have exercised to take bin Ladden when he had the chance.
What's your next song quote, "Puff the Magic Dragon". Get back to your blunt.

Fret not, DocDoc, my vaporizer is always near.
Why leave out the vigilance that could have prevented 9/11? It's not like they didn't know it was coming...
Posted by: lonbud | Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 10:53 PM
Now you've lost ALL credibility to think that the government knew the specifics, or even generalities, that 9-11 was coming. Care to step up your conspiracy theory a notch and claim that Jews knew about it and therefore weren't in the WTC on 9-11?
Vigilance would have prevented 9-11. Vigilance of Clinton to take bin Ladden when Mansoor Ijaz brokered his hand-over from the Sudanese TWICE. Vigilance to give the green light to Michael Schauer when he had bin Ladden in his sights. Vigilance to take out bin Ladden's camp without tipping off the Pakistanis beforehand (thanks Sec. Not-So-Bright). Vigilance to finish the fight we won in Mogadishu. Vigilance to show we meant business for seeking justice for the Embassy bombings in Africa and the USS Cole.
I fret not because you have no say in our military and our government, and that always gives me comfort. I fret not because everyone on this blog knows your an idiot and a witless agitator who thinks he has won because he cuts and pastes to get a longer thread, separates the cut-and-pastes to make it appear as though he's addressing things point by point, and then asks for the knowing majority to provide him with common facts and knowledge so that we can spin our wheels like he does. Even when furnished with such information, he can't and won't integrate it to temper his Michael Moore conspiracy theories, outdated and irrelevant hippie philosophies, and history and current events revisionism.
