Clash in France Leaves 7 People Injured 

PARIS (AP) - Police northwest of Paris used tear gas, rubber pellets and fired a warning shot to disperse a crowd that surrounded their vehicle after they tried to stop a driver for not wearing a seat belt, a police union official said Monday.

Six officers and a civilian were reported slightly injured in the clash Sunday night that was reminiscent of riots and violence that swept economically depressed French areas last year.

The clash broke out after police tried to stop a driver in Les Mureaux, 20 miles from central Paris, for not wearing a seat belt, said Patrick Trotignon, a police union official. The driver refused to stop, and later crashed into another police car that tried to block his path. A crowd gathered, growing to about 250 people, Trotignon said. Some carried homemade shields, pick handles, stones and threatened the police officers, saying: ``You won't get out of the car alive,''' he added.

An officer fired a warning shot in the air, and others fired rubber pellets and tear gas to clear a path to a nearby school, where they waited for reinforcements, Trotignon said.

Sounds nasty.

The crowd set a police car, and the car that was initially stopped, on fire, before dispersing when more police officers arrived. Six officers and one resident suffered minor injuries, Trotignon said.

French authorities have kept a watchful eye on low-income housing projects in suburbs nationwide where riots by youths, many unemployed and from immigrant backgrounds, erupted nearly a year ago and continued for three weeks.

France calls them "immigrants," (though they were born in France), the Brits call them "Asians" - bottom line is they are Muslims.

Last month, a band of up to 30 youths armed with makeshift weapons attacked two riot police patrolling a Paris region housing project. One of the officers suffered a double skull fracture.

The french soil is infertile...there is nothing going to grow...I have a friend that lives about 30 minutes south of Paris by Metro and the flic's tell he and his wife not to carry iPods, laptops, or anything of value openly, on the train as the "Youths" get on and steal anything they can get away with and the flic's don't even try to stop them.

I find this very depressing. Others have stated it better than I, but I am sure France (and Europe in general) is the canary in the coal mine... and it is gasping to breathe. Unlike some, I love France; my wife is French and we go there every year. The majority of people there are deluded into thinking that they are helping those poor souls from north africa and don't realize they are taking in a segment of society who refuse to become 'French'. Their new residents shun everything that is French; the secular Republic and open discussion and freedom of thought that France used to be known for. They are too busy having to pass laws to make sure school meals are halal, etc., etc. The French seem to think that if they keep the social benefits high enough, they will keep this Islamic beast asleep. The problem is that many of these people don't even look for work, and want nothing to do with fitting into society. My hope is that Nikolas Sarkozy can win the upcoming election and start to reform things... but I'm not holding my breath.

We can see police's cars burning (banalised car on a other video). The thugs of this "frenchy intifada" are leaving funnys commentaries like: (talking about cops)
"they should never come here"
"theyre crazy, they only have 2 cars , now they re fucked"

It's the ramadan in france, not a period of peace and tolerance, just a time for riots and violence.
The politics are paralysed by fear about a new cycle of riots evrywhere in france, like last november.
Like almost all the people here who are affraid about arabos muslims thugs, but they still thinking theyre "victimes of the society"..
All of this is a sort of terrorism against france and french old mind (before the invasion), cops are enemys for this people because they want to live within theirs owns laws, for the moment its drug trafic and soft djihad (razzias, attacks, mini riots every day) , but the radicals islamists waiting for their time.

M- I too am horrified and haunted by this treatment upon elderly women and men who are left defenseless by collective worshippers of multi-cultural misery who pontificate submission in order to achieve peace and understanding. I believe I have seen this video before.

A few years ago a video was aired by a local TV station in the Washington, DC area as part of the local news. I believe it was the same video posted by the "French reader M".

The video was taken by a surveillance camera in Washington, DC. The elderly woman was found, the authorities were notified, and the elderly woman ended up in a hospital. She had no identification on her person and did not (or could not) respond when questioned. This sort of video is not usually shown as part of the local news, but the local authorities asked that the video be aired in the hope that someone could identify the victim.

A day or two later a follow-up (I do not remember if it was TV news or a newspaper article) related that the elderly woman's daughter had contacted authorities and the woman was reunited with her family, etc. It turned out that the elderly woman was of Korean heritage and I presume either did not communicate well in English or could not communicate because of injuries.

My recollection is that this was reasoned to be "a mugging" and nothing more. I do not believe that this video of an elderly woman being attacked actually occurred in France. However, I do believe that this video does portray the danger that exists for any non-Moslem in certain areas of France today.
