Bill writes over at Free Republic here and here at War to Mobilize Democracy of the Jew hate at MoveOn.Org (Jewish lefty liberal supported, I might add. Soros too, of course) As I have been been pointing out for months, the left -- the Democrats, have been moving closer to antisemitic, anti Israel positions. For the life of me I can not fathom how a Jew in America can vote the Democratic ticket. Dangerous schmucks (as opposed to useful idiots.)
According to the Action Forum’s FAQ, MoveOn’s staff read every piece of hate speech twice
by Bill Levinson
Once this news spreads across the Internet, we can expect to see the visible collapse of MoveOn.org and also the National Jewish Democratic Council and the Jewish Funds for Justice if they do not promptly repudiate this organization and distance themselves from it as rapidly as possible. To recap, MoveOn.org’s defense against allegations that it knowingly and willfully allowed its Action Forum to be used as a platform for hate speech rests entirely on its claims that it didn’t see the hate speech until August. According to MoveOn.org itself, though, its staff read every piece of hate speech not once but twice.
We previously posted evidence, including Jan Poller’s E-mail of April 1 2006 to MoveOn.org, that MoveOn.org was exercising editorial control over the Action Forum. MoveOn’s enablers, including the Anti-Defamation League and now the National Jewish Democratic Council and the Jewish Funds for Justice, chose to overlook this already-overwhelming evidence and give MoveOn.org a whitewash. We do not believe they can possibly overlook the following and retain even a scrap of self-respect or credibility.
To recap, here is what Eli Pariser said in his press release of September 2.
“MoveOn’s ActionForum is an open forum where members of the public and MoveOn members
can post their thoughts regarding important political issues.
Once in a while—as in any public forum—inappropriate material is posted. Recently, a few of
the thousands of comments that are posted every week contained anti-Semitic language.
The comments that were posted were abhorrent. We were dismayed to see them, and removed
them as soon as they came to our attention 17 days ago.
Right, Mr. Pariser. You said they came to your attention 17 days ago (in mid-August). Let’s take a look at the FAQ for your Action Forum, which is still online and which has been downloaded and stored elsewhere in case it vanishes suddenly next week.
How can I make sure someone at MoveOn reads my post ? All comments are read at least twice. While there is no single criteria, comments that suggest a possible MoveOn action and are not duplicative are likely to be immediately passed on, or included in a summary to the whole MoveOn team. Ratings, while important, are not definitive and some comments with few or low ratings are included in the summaries. Important issues are sometimes followed up with a survey to a sampling of the membership.
Not only that,
Just what does your moderator do? Our moderators are better described as monitors. They spend the vast majority of their time looking for comments to pass on to the MoveOn team and doing weekly forum summaries. With regard to moderating, their goal is to help create a space to facilitate input. It is not their goal to remove every comment that might be inappropriate. The first line of moderators are our members, who rate inappropriate comments low.
As previously discussed, however, the moderators did remove comments they disliked (e.g. critical of MoveOn.org, supportive of Israel, and so on) and the forum rules said the moderators were empowered to delete postings. Let’s take a look at some of the comments that MoveOn.org’s moderators read at least twice and allowed to stand while deleting postings from Jan Poller, ourselves, and others. (Note: Action Forum links do not work because the Action Forum has been taken down because of this scandal.)
I respect everybody’s opinion but obviously some people hate Jews. I am sure they have their reasons but they should not let whatever bad experience they had with some Jews (and I am sure they had some) interfere with their judgment.

Here…I believe that Israelis and their bad behavior is a product of all our money and the strings placed on it by AIPAC, congress, Evangelists and American Jews.
Yes, we have and will go to war for Israel.
Why were Jews hated in Germany, Russia, France, Italy, and the US and around the world. I’d guess they handle success poorly.

UPDATE: Bill notes the following; My (Bill Levinson's) misprint-- Jan Poller's letter was sent on April 1 2004, not 2006 (i.e. more than two and a half years ago).
The reason you will not be able to see the comments at MoveOn's Action Forum is that MoveOn disabled the Action Forum "to conserve bandwith" seven weeks before the election. NO ONE disables part of their Web site to "conserve bandwidth," noting that page hits are a principal measurement of a site's success. The reason is that MoveOn does not want people to see the vicious hate speech on its own site, although plenty was copied and posted elsewhere (e.g. http://www.stentorian.com/MoveOn/sideshow1.html) before the Action Forum was taken down.
In any event, it is now a matter of record that MoveOn.org's press release of September 2, in which it claimed that it discovered the hate speech only in mid-August, is an outright lie.
