Random musings, chattin with my peeps.
In a Frank Luntz poll commissioned by the Hudson Institute, a majority of respondents expressed doubts about the effectiveness of the United Nations and embraced scenarios under which the organization would be "scrapped altogether." Luntz characterized the results as showing that Americans are "one scandal away from washing their hands" of the U.N. and that the issue could tip a future presidential election. More here

Your Vlog doesn't work :-(.

Your V-log worked fine here.
You mentioned corruption in the U.N.
It shouldn't be a surprise: look at the countries involved: African nations, China, Russia, Middle Eastern countries, South American countries: every one of them is rife with corruption. It's a way of life. Why would they change their modus operandi just because they come to New York and hang out at the U.N.?

Just like the terrorists prior to 9/11, the U.N. has been ignored by those of us who could force it to change. It's time to get that change or get them to pull up the stakes on the circus tent and go back to their homelands of oppression. Cutting U.S. funding of this sham is the only way and I hope that we begin doing just that soon!

They don't appreciate us, they hate us, they lie about us, they are corrupt, they take advantage of our good will.
Cut their funds, pull out of the UN.
We don't need them.
THIS IS INSANE! Would you run your household or business this way?? With partners or neighbors like this? - GET THE UN out of the US and get the US out of the UN.

I have some friends that live in Tudor City and I would be able to find a parking space if this bunch of bottom feeding parasites left the City...besides they block the view of the great "Pepsi" sign in LIC.

What a VLOG!
I think having an opinion is a healthy thing - and bashing somebody else for the sake of doing so in the name of opinion is wrong.
I also think the United Nations is a tragedy. That said, I signed THIS petition demanding that "Iran must be stopped now – before it develops a nuclear bomb." to Kofi Annan knowing full well Atlas is the better hope for Western Civilization.
And having your kid on there only helps your case :-). We Westerners respect life, they respect death.

Pamela,
"Not every Muslim is a terrorist, but every terrorist is a Muslim".
Timothy McVeigh, Eric Rudolph, William Krar.
All Christians.
Irgun
Jews.
If you want to win arguments, you need to have your facts straight.
Terrorism is a weapon of the weak. If we allow ourselves to fear that some pissant diabetic in a cave in the Empty Quarter can destroy the United States, then we've already lost. We can only destroy ourselves.
PS: I voted for Laffey. I guess Rhode Island prefers "Hamlet" Chafee. I don't

5,822 Islamic terror attacks (and counting) since 9/11 but you keep digging Peter and maybe you can come up with one or two more which was non islamic.
It is so intellectually dishonest, how does it not smack you upside your head? Hard?!?
You voted for Laffey? uh yeah ok, got a bridge for sale too?

Pam,
Of course I voted for Laffey. It would have guaranteed an easy Dem pickup in November.
How exactly is it intellectually dishonest to point out that not all terrorists are Muslims? In 1981 & 1982, I lived in Rome (Italy, not upstate). The Red Brigades kidnapped Gen. Dozier, and held up the bank around the corner from my apartment in Piazza Irnerio. They weren't Muslims.
Maggie Thatcher didn't go into a tizzie when the IRA blew up the hotel where the Conservative party conference was being held. I don't think we need to either.

Pamela,
Great VLOG!
But Peter has a point If you say all terrorists are Muslims, you should mean it. Remember Aristotle. A means A.

The left will rationalize and kid themselves into oblivion.
Everyone who wants to defeat the jihadists knows what you meant.

Great vlog, Pamela. Might suggest improving the lighting. Looked like a flashing light outside the window over your shoulder was causing the webcame to darken in compensation.
As for Peters point: evidence now shows that McVeigh coconspirator, Terry Nichols, met with al Qaeda in the Phillipines, using visits to his mail-order bride as pretext.
As for Rudolph: terrorism is killing the innocent. Abortionists aren't innocent. They do not deserve to die under our legal system (except for those who commit partial birth abortions), but they should not be considered innocent, either. Rudolph was more akin to a guerilla insurgent. Terrorism and insurgency are distinguished from each other by the Laws of War: attacking innnocents vs attacking combatants. al Qaeda are terrorists. Those who attack civilians in Iraq are terrorists. Those who attack US troops in Iraq are insurgents, and while they are still the enemy and need to be killed, they are insurgents unless they also engage in terrorist acts as well.
