Jihad Media, Literally
The more the mainstream media is exposed as a left wing jihad tool, the more they dig in their heels and invariably dig their own long overdue graves. Bad enough al-Reuters uses Pali stringers and sympathizers, it now appears that they are photoshopping their pics.
Over at LGF, Charles runs an explosive expose on al-Reuters doctoring photos from Beirut. The implications of such deceit are staggering.
OK, now things are getting weird.

This Reuters photograph shows blatant evidence of manipulation. Notice the repeating patterns in the smoke; this is almost certainly caused by using the Photoshop “clone” tool to add more smoke to the image. (Hat tip: Mike.)
It’s so incredibly obvious, it reminds me of the faked CBS memos. Smoke simply does not contain repeating symmetrical patterns like this, and you can see the repetition in both plumes of smoke. There’s really no question about it.
But it’s not only the plumes of smoke that were “enhanced.” There are also cloned buildings.
Little Green Footballs has the photo evidence here
UPDATE: Reuters admits altering Beirut photo
Reuters withdraws photograph of Beirut after Air Force attack after US blogs, photographers point out 'blatant evidence of manipulation.
[al]' Reuters' head of PR says in response, 'Reuters has suspended photographer until investigations are completed into changes made to photograph' Yaakov Lappin
A Reuters photograph of smoke rising from buildings in Beirut has been withdrawn after coming under attack by American web logs. The blogs accused Reuters of distorting the photograph to include more smoke and damage.
UPDATE: Over at LGF, Charles points out;
As of this writing, the doctored photo by Adnan Hajj is still available on Yahoo News: Mideast Conflict on Yahoo! News Photos.
It's all about the jihad, stupid. RoPMA*
*Religion of peace, my ass.
UPDATE: My Pet Jawa has more proof of the blood libel that al-Reuters exacts on the moral, humane Israeli government and people;
What was just a hunch earlier has now been proven beyond a resonable doubt. Another photo by Reuters reporter Hajj has been DEFINITIVELY debunked.
What is a passed as a photo showing an Israeli bombing raid against a "village" is actually of an F-16 taking defensive measures.
Read the whole post and check out the photos. Any Atlas readers have photoshop skills? Please help uncover this malevolent treachery. This is as much an act of war -- aiding and abetting the enemy, as picking up a gun and killing one of our soldiers or an Israeli soldier or anyone fighting the great fight for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness;
The center "bomb" is also a fake. It is simply a copy of the first, only reduced in quality to make it appear "different"
Which raises a very interesting question? Were their any bombs in the original or are they all copied from another photo altogether?
Okay, so two Reuters photos from Adnan Hajj Ali have been debunked? Any more? Yes. Dan Riehl finds more evidence here
I believe we are seeing the tip of the iceberg. Here are a few other photos that appear to have been doctored. Scroll through them. If you have Photoshop skills, we could use your help.
UPDATE: Pandora's Box, it ain't just Reuters. AP and BBC ................ a real rat's nest here;
Either this woman is the unluckiest multiple home owner in Beirut, or something isn't quite right.
Reuters on the run.............they can run but they can't hide.

Pamela, your first sentence hits the nail on the head. We have been predicting more MSM/DNC meltdowns since July of 2005. With each new MSM/DNC embarrassment, they become even more vicious, dishonest and reckless. Dick Durbin's notorious "fascist" speech came in the wake of the Newsweek/Koran/toilet scandal. I would expect that the MSM/DNC will invent some new wild charges as they scramble to recover from the embarrassment of this Reuters' photo-doctoring scandal.

pamela:
it would be good to re-run the little map that appeared some while ago, showing that only a very small area in beirut has been subject to air strikes by iaf, as compared to the msm attempts to depict the entire city as subject to destruction.
and now this.

pamela:
and why is it bloggers who catch the papers & wireservices & networks at this stuff?
aren't these news organizations supposed to have photo and copy editors who check these things?
can it be that bloggers are that much smarter? or is it that the msm just doesn't care whether it misrepsents the facts, so long as its agenda and politics are pushed along.
picture really do speak thousands of words, and most of them accuse the msm of perfidy.

johnjay and lowandslow, it is a bit simpler (and more comprehensive) than that.
That is what they are taught.
To tug at the emotions.
Agenda journalism is preferrable, as long as it is in the correct cause.
America is never the correct cause.
OT, Pam if you still have ears to twist "over there", how about suggesting a few additions to Israel's cease fire conditions.
1) all 3 hez captives are released (even the 1986 pilot)
2) revise the US/French "suggestion" from no "non-state" Lebanese import recipients to Lebanese Army is the only recipient of imported weapons. Otherwise the Hez are going to get Lebanese state sanction to allow further imports legally. This should be accompanied by a proscription against any lebanese ownership (word carefully to allow peacekeeper and lebanese army ownership) of anything larger than "small arms". Lebanon should also have a grace period before full auto weapons are illegal below the Litani.
Israel also needs to have engraved in stone that the major powers will not "forgive" the war crimes that Hez are creating even now. (note that every rocket shot is such a war crime as well as every building occupied among civilians and every building built over civilians over Hez facilities.

Viva La Blogosphere! Congratulations to all those bloggers who spotted the clumsy attempts at photoshopping the original picture. As long as we all remain vigilant, it will be harder for the bad guys to pull off these Goebbels-like attempts. Yippee-ki-yay m***********s!

What is funny to me about this now, is my husband's co-worker is a moonbat that made fun of me when my husband told him I read LGF.
He said anyone on the internet can say anything and he doesn't trust no names.
So I sent him the link to LGF to his email two days ago with a little note saying I'm not trying to change your mind, but to keep an open mind!
The guy emailed me back and told I need to get a LIFE. Arrrgh
I get a lot of heat from my husband and family because I'm addicted to reading good Conservative/Independent blogs...along with news papers and network-national news. Everyone I know has their heads stuffed waaay up their butts. They have NO idea what is going on in the world.
It sucks being the lone ranger with everyone I know!
I hope LGF makes the national news with this shocking story.

Missourimama - don't look for the Reuters story to appear anywhere in the upcoming 24-hour news cycle. I saw part of a commercial with Bob Scheiffer touting the arrival of Katie Couric to CBS, and turned off the TV as soon as he said something that he's known K.C. for 20 years and journalism is a "team effort..."
Er, Bob - a person at another network is NOT your team member - they are the competition and you should have been trying to discredit K.C. at any of the many opportunities she afforded to you. But MSM journalism is the very definition of incest. Nobody who wants a future at an MSM player will say a peep about the doctored Reuters photos. It's circle the wagons time again, this time to protect Reuters.

TommyG, I e-mailed FoxNews and Glenn Beck about this story, everyone should do the same, don't let this one die out!
Can't hurt to try!

I don't understand why they'd do that crappy photoshop job to the photo, when the original photo is already pretty much filled with smoke? The alteration didn't make it look worse, it just made it look photoshopped.

Here is what you need to understand - it is the rules of the road for the MSM and their enablers...
1) The public is stupid.
2) Because they are stupid, we can do what we want.
3) We won't get caught when we do what we want, even if what we do is a ruse.
4) If we get caught, see rule #1 and repeat.

There should be no surprise at this because Radical Leftists and Islamists are but two sides of a Nazi conspiracy.
Dan Rather recently said on Foxnews that Television with it's video and pictures often lacks context. Propagandists use that fact to use pics to mislead by putting their own context in rather than search for the real context. In some cases they resort to doctoring evidence to make their point

Was it USA Today that altered the Dr. Condoleezza Rice photo about a year ago? Seems like the MSM is back to the same old tricks!
