His term doesn't expire until a new Congress is sworn in in January, 2007. Then, there is only a short gap until the February Congressional Recess.

Remember that the big outrage and opposition to Bolton had to do with accusations that "he was mean to his employees." Wahhhhhhh. So far, it looks like we need someone who is mean and will state the truth rather than dance around in diplomatic, no-results speech.

Yes, his term doesn't expire until 2007 which is but 5 months away. Now is a good time to begin reminding your senator(s)that this is an appointment that matters. And do so frequently until he is re-appointed and confirmed. BTW, it might not hurt to let the White House know that his re-appointment is also a matter of interest.
