90Gs in the Icebox and All Is Well

Looks like the deme (Democrat meme) in the  Democrap's playbook -- culture of corruption, culture of corruption, culture of corruption, culture of corruption, culture of corruption, culture of corruption -- endlessly spouted from the top of the food chain (Harry "where are my free tickets" Reid) to the pods that make their way onto cable and network news.

Abramoff may have been a half story (half the $$$ going to the Dems) but they were going to get their pound of flesh out of it anyway,
And then came with man with the frozen cash. 90 Gs in his ice box. Smmmmmmmmmmokin'
Members of the vicious party were muted, but only for a moment. They trounced on the Feds for investigating - with members of the stooopid party joining in. Where is the damn outrage?

he New York Times has a cover story today highlighting the great divide between House GOPers and the Bush White House over the FBI’s search of Democrat Rep. William Jefferson’s (La.) Capitol Hill office last weekend.

Nevermind that the search found cash wrapped in foil and hidden in the congressman’s freezer. Nevermind that at least two associates of the Democrat lawmaker have pled guilty to bribing the congressman. Nevermind that the FBI had a warrant.

Where is the outrage?

I understand the Republicans’ being upset over the search of a congressional office by the Justice Department. There are plausible arguments, on "separation of powers" grounds, to be made, but, seriously, people ought to be a little more ticked that it is looking increasingly likely that Jefferson was at least influenced inappropriately.

The New York Times doesn’t seem to think so. In their 1,000+ word cover story, there was no actual condemnation of the actions for which Jefferson is being investigated. More at Human Events here

What is it about the Republicans? Why are they incapable of grabbing the ball and running with it? Could you imagine the roar of gunfire if it was a Republican Frigidaire? The mind reels.

William Jefferson is a major story, a terrible story of enormous proportions. Why aren't the Republicans making hay with it? Wallpapering the capital and the nation with it?
Now the Democrats are back to the 'BIG OIL IN THE WHITE HOUSE" deme, and gas prices are killing the nation.

The Republicans just don't get it. Who took down Kerry during the Presidential election? The Republicans? No sir. It was the little guy! It was he Swifties. And now there is a concerted effort to take down those very heroes (heroes in Vietnam, and heroes in 2004 - they saved the nation.) Emmett Tyrrell Jr. in today's New York Sun Paid Only;

Consider the ongoing controversy over Senator Jean-Francois Kerry's military service in the faraway Vietnam War. You doubt that the controversy is ongoing? Just last Sunday a front-page story in the New York Times reported that some of Senator Kerry's supporters during his ill-fated 2004 presidential campaign are endeavoring to prove him a war hero with an unblemished record of heroism. Their targets are the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. These Swifties, as they are called, are the Vietnam vets who claimed that when they served with Mr. Kerry they found him to be a self-aggrandizing, self-indulgent showoff. All insist he exaggerated his feats of heroism, and some testify that he lied about his wounds and heroics. Many American voters were persuaded.

The following paragraph ought to be framed and hung;

Now why is this debate being launched? Any innocent observer who watched the showboating senator from Massachusetts bungle his 2004 presidential campaign must know that he is today a self-aggrandizing, self-indulgent showoff. Why would he not have been one as a youth, back in the late 1960s when he brought camera equipment into the jungles to film himself at war? After an early exit from military service, he proceeded to follow the fashion of the times and oppose the war, appearing before a Senate committee in 1971 to accuse the American military of systematically committing war crimes. Then just over three decades later this strange man chose to make his Vietnam experience a major theme of his presidential candidacy. This is a matter for a seasoned psychiatrist to explain. To the rest of us it appears as egotism at the outer reaches of sanity.

    Yet this attack on the Swift Boat Veterans is not contained to Mr. Kerry’s supporters. The senator himself has been obsessive about the Swifties since their ads against him did his campaign so much damage. As David Holman reported in the May issue of The American Spectator, “A year and a half after he lost the 2004 presidential election John Kerry can’t get enough of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. No matter the occasion, he [Kerry] doesn’t miss an opportunity to parade his campaign wounds however incoherently and obsessively.”

    Mr. Kerry has complained of the “Swift Boat–style Republican attack ads” in fundraising appeals on behalf of other candidates. He invoked the Swifties in opposing the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Samuel Alito. When asked if he had received contributions from the disgraced Washington lobbyist, Jack Abramoff, Mr. Kerry snapped, “That’s another of their Swift Boat–style tactics where they throw up the mud and stick it.” Mr. Holman reports that Mr. Kerry has resorted to these slurs on the Swifties in eight other fund raising appeals. Moreover, in the asylum that is the Democratic Party’s angry left, “Swift Boat” has become a verb and an adjective.The left-wing magazine Mother Jones writes of the Bush administration “Swiftboating their enemies.” Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton admonishes against the dread Republicans’ employment of “swift boat tactics.” In the Kultursmog’s parlance of hate terms, Swiftboat is about to join such terms as McCarthyism and McCarthyite.

    Now we read that the campaign against the Swifties is going to gain momentum.The sorehead Kerry supporters have joined together in a group called the Patriot Project. It will seek out the Swifties and scrutinize their complaints against Mr. Kerry. It will also support opponents of the war in Iraq and visit editorial offices to make the case for such veterans as the Honorable John P. Murtha, a Vietnam War vet who now opposes the Iraq War. All of this sounds like political harassment to me, but as the shrinks are wont to say, “If it is true for you, it is true for you.” For a certitude, the left wing of the Democratic Party believes that whatever it believes is true.

Now this is truly a culture of corruption, dirty dirty pool. and I am warning,  strongly advising the Republicans to get in the game and stop being such dandys. This is war and our lives depend on it. Dolts.

We can not lose in November, the repercussions would be disastrous.

UPDATE June 2nd : Earth to Republicans, BREAKING NEWS HERE: culture of corruption, culture of corruption, culture of corruption, culture of corruption, culture of corruption, culture of corruption

Breaking: FBI ARREST Two Aides of Democrat State Senator Fumo Two Aides of DEMOCRAT Sen. Vincent J. Fumo (D- Philadelphia) was arrested today by the FBI. The Democrat's Culture of Corruption is getting deeeeeep, get out the boots better yet the waders.

Senator's staffers charged with obstruction Philadelphia Business Journal

Two computer-services employees on Pennsylvania state Sen. Vincent J. Fumo's staff were arrested Wednesday morning and charged with obstructing a federal investigation into his dealings involving a nonprofit organization.

According to the 65-page affidavit unsealed Wednesday, Leonard Luchko, 49, of Collingdale, Pa., and Mark Eister, 36, of Camp Hill, Pa., systematically destroyed e-mail and other electronic evidence to keep it from FBI scrutiny.

An ongoing investigation by the FBI and Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division is exploring whether Fumo, D-Phila., used his authority and position to extort money from corporations for a nonprofit associated with his South Philadelphia district office. The investigation is also examining whether he benefited personally and politically from expenditures made by the nonprofit.

According to the affidavit, upon learning of the investigation, Luchko instructed the senator's Philadelphia staff to delete all e-mails regarding Fumo, and Eister took similar steps in Harrisburg, the state capital. Staffers were also instructed not to save e-mails to or from the senator and computers and Blackberrys pertaining to the investigation were "wiped clean," U.S. Attorney Pat Meehan and Acting FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Brian W. Lynch said.

Of about 84,000 e-mails recovered by the FBI from all of the computer equipment, fewer than 125 pertain to the nonprofit organization and even fewer are pertinent to any of the issues relevant to the criminal investigation.

"This was a deliberate, systematic, and ultimately successful effort to interfere with a federal investigation," Meehan said..

About the spineless, RINO Republicans, I totally agree. I found it totally amazing that Hasterate (sp) jumped to the defense of Jefferson and refuses to exploite the Dhimmicrat corruption.

About J eFfing Kerry, I find it scarry that so many people are taken in by this fraud. It doesn't bode well for the future of The USA. War Hero? Three Purple Hearts and he didn't loose any time!!!! I am a vet, '55-'59 USAF, and a Military Brat, USN, and therefore have a sense of military genuineness which J eFfing Kerry lacks. I mean he can't even salute!!! While I have major problems with GW he is genuine! Check out these comparison photos;

Definition: Ideology; The triumph of intelect over commen sense!!

I love your analogy. A Dem drops the ball and instead of picking it up and running with it Hastert kicks it back.

My sons call Jefferson, "Ice G".

Atlas, the Republican's problem lie at the White House. The Senate 'Destroy America" immigration bill is a disaster of uberleftist climaxes. And Bush's superbestfriends - kennedy, CARTER, McCain, Spectre, REID, MECHA, LaRaza. Unbelievable. Can you believe how Bush, now a ubersocialist, has betrayed the Republican Party. Eveyone I know is aghast that they are whoring this diseased hag SB2611, and pimping her to the public. No thanks, I'll pass.

Think how different it would have been if Bush has come out strongly for the House bill and build a real fence across the US/Mexico border. That god awful Senate bill would have been aborted, never see the light of day AT ALL. The Republican Party would be sitting pretty. But Bush, a traitor to Republicans, wants to destroy America and have it superceded by a multicultural 3rd world Tower of Babble and Violence and Decay.

There is no way can you lay this at Bush'sdoor. The Republicans had the House and the Senate, you could not possibly expect the Pres to go against his own party time and time again.

It was their overspending, it was their immigration or lack immiration bill.

I dig Bush, love him. He's gotta shut down the border. Agreed. But he is not the enemy. No way

Read what Lawrence Auster wrote in 2000. Your Bush is a socialist, open borders anarchist in his own words. I voted for the guy because he was the lesser of 2 evils. It would be worse with Kerry. Why do you say 'their' immigration bill. The Senate bill is what BUSH WANTS, not the Republicans. Check that vote count again. The majority of Senate Republicans are against the Bush "Destroy America" immigration bill except for 23 RINOs and the House Republicans are overwhelmingly against it. Be fair and truthful. Bush is an open borders anarchist. Just admit it.

Ayn Rand at 100: "Yours is the Glory"

  • Aynrandstamp_1

  • Speaking to the unnamed, unchampioned, beating heart of her new land, Ayn was to say: 'Yours is the glory.'"
    A man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Man as an individual, as a creator. What's the most depraved type of human being? Not a sadist or a murderer or a sex maniac or a dictator; "The man without a purpose." Yet most people seem to go through their lives without a clearly defined purpose.

  • Life has Loveliness to sell,
    All beautiful and splendid things,
    Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
    Soaring fires that sways and swing,
    And children's faces looking up,
    Holding wonder like a cup

    Life has Loveliness to sell,
    Music like a curve of Gold,
    Scent of pinetrees in the rain,
    Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
    And for your spirit's still delight,
    Holy stars that star the night.

    Spend all you have for loveliness,
    Buy it and never count the cost;
    For one white singing hour of Peace
    Count many a year of strife well lost
    And for a breath of ecstasy
    Give all you have been, or could be.
