Only the New York Slime could blame Bush for a Nuclear Iran. They are just disgusting. What happened to Kumbaya, international community, multi-lateralism, the IAEA - these guys are so full of shit they can't keep up with their own
Iran Wants to Talk
New York Times
Unless the Bush administration eases its stubborn opposition to direct talks, it is hard to see what is going to stop the eventual emergence of a nuclear-armed Iran.
This is not surprising after this past Sunday's Times kiss ass piece on Ahmadinejad. The worst thing Bush could do is agree to bilateral talks. It only empowers Ahmadinejiahdman
Iran, meanwhile, is pushing hard to have the U.S. engage in bilateral talks, excluding others. Doing so would be quite fruitful. It would let Iran play the "America as bully" card, claiming the U.S. is being too tough on a "developing" nation. More here
UPDATE: More aiding and abetting the enemy. FDD.: AL-QAEDA'S MEDIA STRATEGY: On Friday, The New York Times reported on its front pages that President Bush and British PM Tony Blair have been "badly weakened by the continuing violence in Iraq."
Could al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Saddam loyalists have hoped for better spin than that? Once again, the Times -- like other major media outlets -- have made clear that they do not seriously fault those who murder innocent civilians. On the contrary, they see such massacres less as atrocities than as defeats for Western leaders.
The implicit message to al-Qaeda: "Keep up the carnage. It does not discredit you when you murder women and children -- it discredits your enemies because they proved too feeble to stop you. Your strategy is working just as you planned."
