Rotten IntelligenCIA
Let me understand this, Karl Rove, President Bush's top political adviser, arrived at a federal courthouse today to testify for a fifth time before a grand jury in the CIA leak-that-never-happened investigation. Meanwhile, a cabal of fifth column traitors and spies are projectile vomiting their treasonous lies to an aiding and abetting press, thereby undermining the war effort, our President (that we, the American people elected) while putting our soldiers in danger.Something is soooooo rotten in Amerabia.
In today's Wall Street Journal, Our Rotten IntelligenCIA, worth the read for the sharp title alone.
Fired CIA officer Mary O. McCarthy went on offense Monday, denying through her lawyer that she has done anything wrong. But the agency is standing by its claim that she was dismissed last week because she "knowingly and willfully shared classified intelligence." It has been reported that one of her media contacts was Washington Post reporter Dana Priest, who just won a Pulitzer Prize for her reporting on the so-called "secret" prisons that the CIA allegedly used to house top level al Qaeda detainees in Eastern Europe.
We're as curious as anyone to see how Ms. McCarthy's case unfolds. But this would appear to be only the latest example of the unseemly symbiosis between elements of the press corps and a cabal of partisan bureaucrats at the CIA and elsewhere in the "intelligence community" who have been trying to undermine the Bush Presidency.

As if the leaking isn't bad enough, it looks as though McCarthy won't be prosecuted. No jail time, not even a fine. McCarthy, no doubt, will be given a hero's welcome in the private leftwing community. So what's to discourage others from here on out?
A shadow government as loyal opposition is one thing, but the present shadow government is out to bring down Bush even if they need to undermine the country in wartime to do it.
