MI6, Britain's secret intelligence service, has identified six Pakistani scientists working in Iran's nuclear bomb program who have been "advising al-Qaida on how to weaponize fissionable materials it has now obtained."

MI6 and the International Atomic Energy Agency believe the scientists have played a major role in enabling Iran to be "well advanced in providing uranium enriched materials for nuclear bombs," said Alexander Cirilovic, a nuclear terrorism expert in Paris.  More here at G2

Both high-level MI6 and CIA sources have confirmed the scientists would only have been allowed to assist al-Qaida with the authority of Iran's unpredictable President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Osama bin LadenThe al-Qaida leader said the American people, including women and children, have become fair targets because they continue to support the decisions of the Bush administration.

"The war is a responsibility between the people and the governments," bin Laden said. "The war goes on and the [American] people are renewing their allegiance to its rulers and masters. They send their sons to armies to fight us and they continue their financial and moral support while our countries are burned our houses are bombed, and our people are killed

 

That relationship dates back to June 21, 1996, when bin Laden attended a terror summit in Tehran. The gathering attracted terror leaders from various places throughout the world, including Ramadan Shallah (the Palestinian Islamic Jihad), Ahmad Salah (Egyptian Islamic Jihad), Imad al-Alami and Mustafa al-Liddawi (HAMAS), Ahmad Jibril (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine), Abdallah Ocalan (the Kurdish People Party), Muhammad Ali Ahmad (al Qaeda), and Imad Mugniyah (Hezbollah). The summit resulted in the creation of the "Committee of Three" that would meet on a regular basis for the "coordination, planning, and execution of attacks" against the United States and Israel. The committee members were Ahmad Salah, Imad Mugniyah and bin Laden.

Mir's position that al-Qaida's nuclear weapons may have already been forward deployed to the United States confirms the report of Sharif al-Masri, a key al-Qaida operative who was arrested in Pakistan in November 2000.

Al Masri, an Egyptian national with ties to al-Zawahiri, said that al-Qaida had made arrangements to smuggle nuclear weapons and supplies to Mexico, From Mexico, he said, the weapons were to be transported across the border and into the United States with the help of a Latino street gang.

Mir also maintains that numerous sleeper agents are in place in major cities throughout the United States to prepare for the nuclear holocaust. Many of these agents, he says, are Algerians and Chechens who obtained European passports and are posing as Christian and Jews.

I'm reading "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini right now. It chronicles Afghanistan from prior to the Russian invastion, to the Taliban. Afghanistan went from a pleasant, modernizing place, to a dangerous place when the warlords began fighting for power, to an oppressed place when the Russians invaded, to an absolute hell on Earth when the Taliban came to power.

In the book he describes the destruction of the infrastructure, the homes, the random killing, the mean, uneducated thugs roaming around posing as morality police, but really looking for someone to beat or kill to make their day more interesting. Even the wholesale slaughter of the Kazara (sort of Afghanistan's version of India's "untouchables").

These are the people who were Bin Laden's good buddies. That was the promise of the Islamists fulfilled. And it was Hell on Earth. Muslims randomly killing Muslims. Not to mention what Al Queda did here. All they know how to do is rain down death and destruction... while grabbing power over the people for themselves. Like anyone who is twisted, of course they project their own actions and motivations onto someone else.

What is Bin Laden saying? "Get out of our part of the world so we can destroy it ourselves and brutally murder and oppress our own people. Leave so we have safehaven to plan the destruction of your world too."

Anyone who thinks that the Islamofascists stand for anything but brutality is painfully ignorant of recent history, or intentionally self-deceptive.

Liberals are doing everything they can to ensure that nothing is done to stop the muslim scum from attacking us, but the very second the attack comes and the MSM have their sensational story and gory footage of death and destruction, the blame game will begin. That would be a good time to start hanging muslims and liberals.

The left is doing everything they can to hold America back. If they succeed and we are attacked with a nuke, they’ll yell Bush is incompetent. If Bush acts and Iran moves forward with its plans, they’ll say there never was a threat and Bush created one. You can be sure that Iran is depending on our 5th column either way.

Bush needs to move pronto. Everyday is another day that Iran uses to prepare for its attacks. Get it over, Bush! Ignore the left; they’ll damn you if you do and damn you if you don’t. As I said before Iraq, we have to give ourselves the benefit of the doubt and I don’t have much doubt. Saddam was a threat by his nature and Ahmadinejad is a far worse threat. Let’s roll.

Well, I'm not going to take the word of Brits, Hamid Mir, al-Jazeera on what Pakistani scientists, Iran or Russia has done for Osama bin Laden, or even believe everyword bin Laden says. Don't forget that deception and misinformation is a Muslim, Islamic speciality.

Misinformation is also becoming most fasionable for the western press also.

All that said, we will just have to wait for "them" to strike the first blow. We can't depend on any help from anyone on this "long war".

What we can depend on is resistance, sabotage and critics from almost every nation and of course the U.N.

I wonder if we are coming to a point that the weakened terror groups will have only the WMD cards left to play. As these are complicated to put into effect, their ability to do so is eroding. However, even an aborted attempt can cause huge damage, and a single, last card, successful attempt would still be devastating.
