Leaks and the Leakers that Leak them
This is an egregious crime. It was operational, not just classified info. She put lives in danger, c**t. She disclosed top secret information. Jail time is too kind. Think about it.
Piece of advise for the Bushies...............FIRE ANY ONE THAT WORKED UNDER THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION, I mean really.
Strata-sphere has the straight dope here, an incredible post actually.
The latest fired CIA employee is Mary
McCarthy, (one of many to come, I understand, apparently the Department of Justice said they have DOZENS of leak investigations ongoing);
Until July 2001, she served as special assistant to the president and senior director for intelligence programs on the National Security Council (NSC) Staff, under both Presidents Clinton and Bush. More here hat tip x-dhimmi
Mary, Mary quite contrary has quite the checkered past with ties to the 9/11 commission, that complete lefty showboating waste of time;
In what is becoming a bad trend for Mary, she is now linked with Sandy Berger and Richard Clarke. Especially this strange reference (again from the 9-11 report):
9. See Joint Inquiry briefing by Mike, Sept. 12,2002.For briefings to the NSC,see NSC email,Clarke to Berger, “Threat Warning: Usama bin Ladin,” Mar. 7, 1998; Mary McCarthy interview (Dec. 8, 2003); CIA memos, summary of weekly Berger/Tenet meeting, May 1, 1998.
She apparently came to the defense of Richard Clarke once. If she is one in the same, this person has betrayed a lot of people with her actions.
And the CIA is warning ‘This is just the beginning’. Hopefully there are a couple of Senators taking note as well.
And I bet the leakers that gave the Ruskies our war plans and put our soldiers at risk were Clintonmuskovites. The Russians relayed the information to Saddam during the opening days of the 2003 war via someone at Centcom. Who was that?
The CIA did not name the reporters it believes were involved, but several intelligence officials said The Washington Post's Dana Priest was among them.
This week, Priest won the Pulitzer Prize for beat reporting for articles about the agency, including one that revealed the existence of secret CIA-run prisons in Eastern Europe and elsewhere.
The story caused an international uproar, and government officials have said it did significant damage to relationships between the U.S. and allied intelligence agencies.
Priest, who also won the George Polk Award and a prize from the Overseas Press Club this week for her articles, declined to comment Friday. More here
Attempts to reach her Friday night were unsuccessful [I bet- Atlas]
Post Executive Editor Leonard Downie Jr. said
people who provide citizens the information they need to hold their government accountable should not "come to harm for that."
So why didn't you run the Muhammad cartoons, yellow belly?
Over at Lucianne, THE SECRET WAR AGAINST PRESIDENT BUSH
Excellent complete overview over at Flopping Aces here, and important read;
Clarke, Beers, and Mary McCarthy were three of the top counter-terrorism officials in the country, all in the NSC, in the period 1999-2001. It can truly and fairly be said that the 9/11 plots developed on THEIR watch and that THEIR failings had more to do with it than anyone in the Bush team who’d only had a few months in office and had to deal with the (then) Democratic Senate not confirming important national security appointees, etc.
and Flopping Aces points out, lest we not forget what Porter Goss said;
Porter Goss told the Senate that these leaks had damaged our intelligence gathering capability and in so doing our national security:
CIA Director Porter J. Goss told a Senate committee yesterday that unauthorized leaks of classified information about agency activities have caused “severe damage” to the CIA’s operations and that journalists who report leaks should be questioned by a grand jury.
[…]Regarding disclosures about CIA detention and interrogation of terrorist suspects at secret sites abroad, Goss, the former chairman of the House intelligence committee, said that “the damage has been very severe to our capabilities to carry out our mission.” He added: “It is my aim and it is my hope that we will witness a grand jury investigation with reporters present being asked to reveal who is leaking this information. I believe the safety of this nation and the people of this country deserves nothing less.”
Clear And Present found this nugget:
Investigations into reports that US agents shipped prisoners through European airports to secret detention centers have produced no evidence of illegal CIA activities, the European Union’s antiterrorism coordinator said yesterday.
The investigations also have not turned up any proof of secret renditions of terror suspects on EU territory, Gijs de Vries told a European Parliament committee investigating the allegations.
The European Parliament’s probe and a similar one by the continent’s leading human rights watchdog are looking into whether US intelligence agents interrogated Al Qaeda suspects at secret prisons in Eastern Europe and transported some on secret flights through Europe.
But so far investigators have not identified any human rights violations, despite more than 50 hours of testimony by human rights activists and individuals who said they were abducted by US intelligence agents, de Vries said.
Give 'em a Pulitzer!
UPDATE: "Some former intelligence officials who worked with Ms. McCarthy saw her as a persistent obstacle to aggressive antiterrorism efforts." More here

I think we are starting to find the origins of the Fifth Column...
Seems to me that if one want to look at this using the same methods as terrorists, it appears a bunch of 'political sleeper cells' have been called into action since Florida 2000, and they overreached big time.
Not a conspiracy theorist, but knowing the track record Slick, Mrs. Slick, the actions of Clarke, Berger, Wall Gorelick, and Zinni's opportunistic flip flops (I don't even want to get into the Wilson/Plame/Flame game,) I'd say we need to strip down CIA, DOD, State and maybe even some parts of HUD. A lot of people have had to be blind for a long time.
2001: McCarthy joins the CSIS think tank. Three of her fellow experts are Zbigniew Brzezinski, General Wesley Clark, General Anthony Zinni.
This, teamed up with sweet Mary's workings with Clarke and I think we need to hook up a lot of people to the hot box.
Add Berger and slick Willie to the list along with the esteemed Senators from West Virginia and Illinois.
I'll bet 50 that someon like Clark is right in the middle of ALL these leaks. Someone or a group of someones is/are behind the curtain hoping no one will see them.

What we are watching is an attempted coup of the elected U.S. government by leftists, Democrats, and their media.
See the NYT's article about McCarthy on Drudge Report right now. It is a white wash of this traitorous twit's actions. The cover up has begun.
