Guys, it is unreal here in New York..........kissed by the sun, sea, and G-d. Golden. So I am outta her, I am taking the day. Milosevic is dead, yay! no thanks to the Hague. It is a very good day after all.
Life has loveliness to sell.................
Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of Peace
Count many a year of strife well lost
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.

It's going to be nice in my neck of the woods also. I'm going to honor it by turning off the computer and getting some work done outside. I'm going to guess the blog world will survive without me for a day. ;)

Typepad has installed a "spamcatcher" and it is flagging clean posts as spam. It's not you, it's them! I am sorry for the inconvenience, keep trying-- change a word or two..........

Okay, I'll dig for a comment that fell victim to your "spamcatcher," but maybe not here, as this doesn't seem to be the place for items on Ayatollah Iran's bordello complex.
But since it is indeed a day that might as well be spring, and "These are times that try America's taste for Danish," maybe the Republic is ready for THE DANE THAT ROARED. (now at gringoman.com)

Just for knowing, this blog will not be an open forum to post historically fallacious, antisemitic diatribes.
You want that trash, there are plenty (too many) places and books to go to. Not here, not now, not ever.
This is my salon, my living room, my sandbox, so go play somewhere else. It's mine.
The blog is for fact and truth in a world of unforgiving dishonesty and intimidation. We have too little time and too much to do.
Discourse, I love. Propaganda - uh uh.
Antisemitic comments and profane, sexually explicit comments will be deleted. Everything else is welcome.
That's how it works.
End of story.

Don't get freedom of speech in her sandbox.
BTW, if a commentator should use the word "savages" to describe Arabs, does that count as antisemetic?
Last I chcked they were still semites.

Bobo,
I'm sure you're aware that the term antisemitism dates from the 19th century and refers to hatred of Jews, Jew-Hate or Judenhas.
It describes the particularly maniacal, paranoid, long lasting and vicious feelings many people (mostly mediocre, but some exceptional) have had for the Jews at many times in history. It is a most destructive emotion and has consumed whole nations of haters.
There is no similar feeling directed against Arabs, a cultural-linguistic group encompassing peoples of various physical descriptions. If you think such a word for Arabs is needed why don’t you invent it? Or, we could just go back to using the term, “Jew-Hate” for antisemtisim. We could start by applying the term to persons who wish to protect Islamofascist savages with a blanket of moral equivalency by extending the moral currency which the term antisemitism has acquired to those same savages.
