Has everyone lost their senses? Coca Cola succumbs to UN bullshit;

Coca-Cola joins UN global pact
Abidjan, Cote d`Ivoire, 03/28 - The Coca-Cola company has adhered to the UN Global Pact, an international initiative aimed at facilitating convergence between private sector practices and the universal values of the international organisation in the fields of human rights, labour and environment rights, the fight against corruption, sources close to the US-based firm said on Monday.

huh? WTF are they up to? What form of blackmail did the international communi-tay resort to, I wonder?

"The adhesion of Coca-Cola is an affirmation of the expansion of the Global Pact and the importance it assumes worldwide, especially on the US market where more and more enterprises have decided to get involved," the head of the Global Pact Executive, George Kell, said in a communiqué.

Initiated in 2000, the Global Pact establishes a partnership between the business world, the UN, trade unions, civil society and governments so as to respect universal values in the fields of human rights, labour and environmental rights, the right to fight against corruption.

Fight corruption? The UN is the very embodiment of corruption, not to mention the corruption of the trade unions. These acts of capitulation are setbacks for the biggest minority of all, the individual.
