Happy Birthday to the Gipper!

Peggy Noonan: What does it mean to be Reaganesque? It means to recognize theReagan2 struggle, accept the struggle, and fight it each day with as much joy as you can. Another way to say it is: It means to on some deep level love your struggle, the one time and God have given you. And to make that love almost palpable, through joy. That's what happy warriors do, they bring love to the struggle.

History will remember Ronald Reagan as one of the greats of the 20th century — up there with Churchill, with Pope John XXIII and John Paul II, Mother Teresa, and a few others. The world-changers.

I call upon the scientific community in our country, those who gave us nuclear weapons, to turn their great talents now to the cause of mankind and world peace: to give us the means of rendering these nuclear weapons impotent and obsolete. -Reagan

Happy Birthday Mr. President. We miss you more than you know.

Ronald W. Reagan was the greatest President in the 2nd half of the 20th century, if not all time. His face should be added to Mt. Rushmore.

What a great site, and may I add that Pamela is a totally smoking babe!

Another great quote attributed to The Gipper. One of my personal favorites : "The ultimate determinant in the struggle now going on for the world will not be bombs and rockets but a test of wills and ideas-a trial of spiritual resolve: the values we hold, the beliefs we cherish and the ideals to which we are dedicated."

The problem with the left is that they chose the the wrong side in the struggle, and rather than correct themselves, they have turned ugly. Too bad Ronnie didn't set them straight with a kind word or two. They seem beyond reach now.

My favorite Reagan remark: "....big government isn't the solution to the problem, big government IS the problem."

W. needs to learn that. All the creation of Homeland Security did is create a bigger bureaucracy to piss money away.

I'll never forget when Gorbachev spoke of when he met with Reagan in Iceland and demanded the US shut down Star Wars and other big research. Reagan said, "No, I will not!" Reagan got up and walked away. Gorbachev knew then and there his days as president of the Soviet Union were coming to an end.

Would Carter had the cajones to do that??? No way!!! Carter's a "blame-America-first" loser and a closet Communist.

I miss you, President Reagan.
