Iraq's WMD's Secreted to Syria
In an explosive interview with The New York Sun, the man who served as the no. 2
official in Saddam Hussein’s air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria
before the war
‘They Must Be Found’
The Iraqi general, Georges Sada, makes the charges in a new book,“Saddam’s Secrets,” released this week. The man who served as the
no. 2 official in Saddam Hussein’s air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria before the war by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed. He detailed the transfers in an interview yesterday with The New York Sun.
“There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands,” Mr. Sada said. “I am confident they were taken over.”
Mr. Sada’s comments come just more than a month after Israel’s top general during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Moshe Yaalon, told the Sun that Saddam “transferred the chemical agents from Iraq to Syria.”
[...]
The discovery of the weapons in Syria could alter the American political debate on the Iraq war.And even the accusations that they are there could step up international pressure on the government in Damascus. That government, led by Bashar Assad, is already facing a U.N. investigation over its alleged role in the assassination of a former prime minister of Lebanon. The Bush administration has criticized Syria for its support of terrorism and its failure to cooperate with the U.N. investigation.
Pilots of the two airliners that transported the weapons of mass destruction to Syria from Iraq approached him in the middle of 2004, after Saddam was captured by American troops.
“I know them very well. They are very good friends of mine. We trust each other. We are friends as pilots,” Mr. Sada said of the two pilots. He declined to disclose their names, saying they are concerned for their safety. But he said they are now employed by other airlines outside Iraq.
The flights — 56 in total, Mr. Sada said — attracted little notice because they were thought to be civilian flights providing relief from Iraq to Syria, which had suffered a flood after a dam collapse in June of 2002.
“Saddam realized, this time, the Americans are coming,” Mr. Sada said. “They handed over the weapons of mass destruction to the Syrians.”
Mr. Sada said that the Iraqi official responsible for transferring the weapons was a cousin of Saddam Hussein named Ali Hussein al-Majid, known as “Chemical Ali.” The Syrian official responsible for receiving them was a cousin of Bashar Assad who is known variously as General Abu Ali, Abu Himma, or Zulhimawe.
READ IT ALL IN The New York Sun here
I said it for years, it was the most logical explanation. This story will shape the November elections, and rightly so. I am sure the mainstream media will go out of its way to ignore this story instead it will whine about al qaida's civil rights being violated in the New York Times manufactured scandal of the week.
ALERT: Saddam’s Crimes Against Humanity **GRAPHIC VIDEO MATERIAL**
As the trial of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein resumes, the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies is posting 4 videos of actual torture and murder that took place under Saddam Hussein’s regime.
FDD President Cliff May notes: “Television news, understandably, will not broadcast such videos. But they are, nevertheless, an important record of Saddam Hussein’s crimes against humanity that should be available to the public as his trial resumes.”
WARNING: This material is extremely shocking and graphic in nature. It should not be viewed by children. Also, it may be necessary to turn the volume down before watching the 4 separate chapters.
Please note, each chapter may take several minutes to download.

I am very glad that this is coming out. But, is there any possible way to get around what we know is coming. Trying to turn this into some type of conspiracy by some un-named you know what's in this country. Ther are some in this country who would rather die than believe anything. If the Democrats want to be considered a legitimate party anymore, they will stand up and call this news what it is, the truth.

Hey Gorgeous!
Great job...The problem is that as long as Assad is in power, they will deny it.
That may change soon. When it does, it will be time to send a high level delegation to Syria to demand answers.

Sada is a Christian and, therefore, anything he says will be discounted.

Pamela, do you listen to the John Batchlor Show on WABC in NY ?
Last night one of his guests, a John something stated that a CD made by Saddam and other voices has been discovered which discusses his WMDs and his activities to out fox Hans Blix and other inspectors form around 1992 thru 2002. Apparently Saddam was gathering facts for a book on the issue, so the conversations have been collected on this particular CD. The contents of the CD will be made public on Feb. 18th.
Thank you, John Batchlor.

It's been known for a long time that Saddam took the WMDs and hid them in other countries. There were also freight trains heading for Syria carrying (officially, that is) 130 tons of scrap metal. Yeah, right.
The UN weapons people found some of Saddam's stuff as far away as the Netherlands. Who knows where the rest of it is?????
wxjames: Hans Blix had to be paid off. No other explanation. I remember when former weapons inspector Scott Ritter went to Iraq (as a guest of Saddam, of course) and proclaimed more than once to the media that there were no WMDs in Iraq. Then the Marines find pics of Ritter (a former Marine) in compomising situations with women.
Ritter is a DISGUSTING example of a former Marine.
