POACH THE RINOS
The time has finally come to target the RINOs
and put an end to the tyranny of the Minority
BASTA! After watching yet again the same imposters vote against the Republican majority earlier today (Cheney had to return from overseas to break the tie! on the budget bill), I say we must end this masquerade. These spineless marauders ran on the Republican ticket but vote Democrat time and time again.
Sens. Chuck Hagel (Neb.), Olympia J. Snowe (Maine), Dewine (Ohio.), Senator Lugar (Ind) Senator
Voinovich(Ohio) Senator Hagel (Neb) Senator Chafee (R.I.)
These were the same clowns against Bolton - remember?
We need an action plan and we need one now. I've got to run. Email or comment ideas. These guys will be the same antagonists that will impede our efforts to effect Regime Change in Iran.
Let's roll!
Mike's eyes is my kind of regular guy, and I dig his take here
UPDATE DECEMBER 22
oh and BTW In the final clashes of a year of partisan conflict, the Senate dealt a defeat yesterday to legislation allowing oil drilling in the National Wildlife Refuge. Yup, all that crying about energy costs, and gas prices and they couldn't open up 1% of unihabited ANWR? Environ-MENTALISM as Religion is a national threat and has left devastating destruction in its wake. It dictates our energy policy

Voinovich isn't up for reelection until 2010. Though it's a long way away, I would not be shocked if he retired.
DeWine is up in 2006. Three conservative Ohio blogs have endorsed GOP primary challenger Bill Pierce. One is working for Pierce, but the other two just endorsed Pierce today in response to his anti-ANWR vote against cloture:

The problem with getting rid of Senators or Reps is, it has to done on a state and local level. If there is even a hint of outside influence to oust someone it usually has the opposite effect. It only emboldens the voter to keep them in.
That said, how do you get the local voters to it? As long as a senator or congressman doesn't commit political suicide it's next to impossible. You can pass all the campaign finance reform you want, it won't help. The system rewards career politians. I see it that term limits may be the only answer and that's a hard sell also.

I don't want to get too carried away, but I think local and state blogs might be the great equalizer.
Another blog endorsed DeWine's opponent tonight, making it four (including the blogger who works for the opponent), and the outrage about DeWine's anti-ANWR vote is intense.
We'll have to see, but I wouldn't be surprised if 2006 isn't the year of the local and state blogs in Congressional and Senate politics. The national conservative blogs can help by zeroing in on flash points and hot races.

RINO's are a result of weak Republican leadership, especially in the Senate. We need to continue Captain Ed's (and Hugh's) Not One Dime program of non-contribution to the National Republican Senatorial Committee. It was begun to punish Republican Senators for wimping out on breaking judicial filibusters, and Republican Senate leadership has done nothing yet to earn back our support. So each time you get an NRSC fund raiser in the mail, make a nine cent contribution and clearly indicate NOT ONE DIME on the form and send it back. A threat to cut off their contributions will make them pull their heads out fast.

Mike at "Mike's Eyes" makes an excellent point about GOP senators who buck the party -- I agree and have stopped donating to both the GOP Congressional and Senate Election committees. I'm sick of those "GOP" senators like Snow, Dewine, Hagel, Chaffee, etc -- along with Reps like Shay, King, Fossella, etc.
I've had enough, and am not taking it anymore!
My donations go directly to proven GOP politicians.

Don't forget Arlen "I never met a Democrat's butt I didn't love" Specter. His repayment for President Bush's tireless campaigning for him? Grudging compliance with "fair" hearings for judicial nominees and not much more.
