Winds of Change: Here is the full English text of the recent Cicero article on Iran as provided by the brave men and women of the Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) A few excerpts of this must read article:
The author of this article was able to look at a list of the holy killers who have found safe refuge in Iran. The list reads like the Who's Who of global jihad, with close to 25 high-ranking leadership cadres of Al-Qaida -- planners, organizers, and ideologues of the jihad from Egypt, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, North Africa, and Europe. Right at the top in the Al-Qaida hierarchy: three of Usama Bin Ladin's sons, Saad, Mohammad, and Othman. Al-Qaida spokesman Abu Ghaib enjoys Iranian protection, as does Abu Dagana al-Alemani (known as the German), who coordinates cooperation of the various jihadist networks throughout the world from Iran. They live in secure housing of the Revolutionary Guard in and around Tehran . "This is not prison or house arrest," is the conclusion of a high-ranking intelligence officer. "They are free to do as they please." ... For years, according to the findings of Middle Eastern and Western intelligence services, Iranian intelligence services have already worked together repeatedly with Sunni jihad organizations of Al-Qaida. "As an Islamist, I go to the Saudis to get money the Jordanian GID man outlines the current practice of Islamist holy warriors. "When I need weapons, logistical support, or military terrorist training and equipment, I go to the Iranians." ...
The practical consequences of this answer make Western intelligence services shudder: "If anyone, the United States or even Israel, gets the idea to bomb the Iranian nuclear weapons program back 10 years into the past, then God help us says a Western intelligence officer. "Then the Mullahs will unleash their guard dogs worldwide. They will equip and support all Shiite terrorist networks with the Sunni networks globally, that is, with everything that they have. For us it would be the ultimate worst-case scenario, one for which we are not prepared." READ MORE
This is the author and publication that was raided by the German authorities earlier this year for publishing classified German intelligence information. It is credible. A definite must read. It needs to be widely read.
UPDATE: 11/02/05: "Shari'a Punishment" Photos Misattributed
hat tip LGF
According to my original source,
Note: There have been questions as to what exactly is occuring in these photos. I have attempted to contact the original source and will post all updates on Bareknucklepolitics.com..........
UPDATE: More here:
I have been investigating the photos of the Iranian boy and the truck. I have confirmed it to be a performance, a stunt. This information is directly from the the Peykeiran News service, the initial publisher of the picture.links to orig pictures: http://web.peykeiran.com/net_iran/irnewsbody.aspx?ID=22394, http://web.peykeiran.com/new/iran/iran_news_body.aspx?ID=22395Here is the complete email exchange from yesterday and today. It unequivocally states that it was photographed as a stunt, performed many times for bread. Perhaps there was an early mistranslation of what was going on, converting the story to "stealing bread." I tried for hours to translate the Farsi while waiting for a response from Iran.
So this is what? A PSA for Vocational training? Although I was surprised, I was under the impression they cut off hands for stealing.
THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE A SOFTENING IN PUNISHMENTS.
Bottom line: Punishment, stunt, whatever. it's child abuse. Sorry fellas it's still a horror to me
Iran: Israel is a scar on the United Nations, a terrorist country
UPDATE 10/31/05: 8 Year Old Iranian Boy [previously thought to be -Atlas] caught stealing bread......
The Iran-al Qaeda Axis> Peter Brookes
The most immediate threat Iran poses to American national security isn't its nuclear (weapons) program. It's the safe haven Tehran is giving al Qaeda terrorists, who are planning and directing jihad across the globe.
If the United States and its allies in the War on Terror don't take firm
action against Iranian support to al Qaeda, the price in blood and treasure
attributable to Osama bin Laden's killers - in Iraq and elsewhere - will
continue to soar.
Iran had a busy busy week
Tehran, Oct. 30 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told the latest cabinet meeting in the Iranian capital that “if we were permitted to hang two or three persons, the problems with the stock exchange would be solved for ever”, according to a Tehran-based newspaper.

The people of Mahaabad protest the execution sentence of a local youth
>The Society of Political Prisoners in Exile
Based on reports from the town of Mahaabad (Province of Kurdistan) thousands of locals starting from noon on Tuesday, Oct. 25th poured into the streets of this town, honking their car horns and shouting, expressed their rage at the execution sentence imposed on local youth, Mustafa Rasoulinia who was arrested in the summer clashes between the people of Kurdistan with the disciplinary forces of the regime. People rioted in Esteqlaal Square and the surrounding streets. People from other parts of town joined the crowd that had already gathered at Hasanzadeh School and took the protest from neighborhood to neighborhood.
The regime has blamed the murder of one of the regime's disciplinary officers on the Mahaabadi youth and therefore sentenced him to death. The young man rejected the charges during his trial and said that he had been severely tortured by his captors and was pressured into making a confession.

Iranian President calls for death to Israel and America (see post below)
<What Iran desires is a nuclear weapon--the better to threaten and annihilate the impious in the West and in Iran's neighborhood. Iran declares its anti-Western ambitions stridently. At an official parade in 2004, Iran flaunted a missile draped with a banner declaring that: "We will crush America under our feet." (Its leaders, moreover, have for years repeated the demand that "Israel must be wiped off the map.")
Israel had an even busier week;
