If Laura Bush is "Hitler's dog" as Bill Maher suggests, then it is clear that Maher is Joey Buttafucco's Mary Joe, Saddam's Tariq Aziz, Hitler's Goebbels (too much credit).
I never watch his rot, who wants to watch the continuing decay of a man right before yours?
How Ann Coulter could be tight with this guy I'll never know.
I turned it on because Iwanted to see Hitchens, who I thought was way too gentlemenly. Elegant, eloquent. He should have wiped the floor with Galloway and Maher as the leftard propaganda was being disgorged like so much bile.
When Hitchens attested to George W.'s redeeming qualities, he sited the fact that Bush got Laura Bush to marry him. Which, btw, I thought an extraordinary comment. How lovely, what depth of character.
When Bill Maher responded that Hitler's dog loved him too, it just blew me away.
It blew Hitch away too. He told Maher that the statement was a disgrace and that tomorrow Maher would be sorry he said it.
To which Maher resorted to the Left's usual MO, he alluded to Hitchen's drinking problem.
Knowing what we know about Maher's drug use.........isn't that like the pothead calling the drinker a drug addict. I mean, really.
And I've seen alot of Hitch lately, he's been stone cold sober. If not, he is an incredibly sober drunk (!)
And the audience of cheering brown shirts made me ashamed to be American.
And to those of you that don't understand the War in Iraq aka the War on Jihadism;
Foreign Fighters Now Seen as Main Threat in Iraq - Bradley Graham
The top U.S. military intelligence officer in Iraq, Maj.-Gen. Richard Zahner, said Abu Musab Zarqawi and his foreign and Iraqi associates have essentially commandeered the insurgency, becoming the dominant opposition force and the greatest immediate threat to U.S. objectives in the country. "I think what you really have here is an insurgency that's been hijacked by a terrorist campaign," Zahner said. U.S. military leaders say they now see Zarqawi's group, known as al-Qaeda in Iraq, as having supplanted Iraqis loyal to ousted president Saddam Hussein as the insurgency's driving element. Although numerically still a small fraction of the insurgency, Zarqawi's network is said to be behind a disproportionately large share of the violence.
Since spring, U.S. commanders have moved beyond targeting the group's leaders and urban cells to try to shut off the flow of foreign Islamic extremists infiltrating from Syria. Zahner said the number of foreign fighters entering Iraq, which had started to approach 200 a month in June, appeared to drop to 100 a month or fewer by the end of August. More than 315 foreign fighters have been killed since March and nearly 330 detained. The average level of daily attacks across Iraq is about 90. (Washington Post)
We are fighting al-Qaeda in Iraq, this is the war on Jihadism. This is the theater.
We didn't start this war but we will finish it, here's the list of Islamic terror attacks since September 11th.
oh and BTW: I have not forgotten Hitchen's background and his anti-Israel, pro-Pali position during his lefty years at the Nation. I honestly believe he bought into the Pali propaganda and has subsequently seen the light. That it was all bullshit and they just want Israel and the free world for that matter, driven into the sea. Yes, I think he grew intellectually.
