Lions Rescue, Guard Beaten Ethiopian Girl
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) -- A 12-year-old girl who was abducted and beaten
by men trying to force her into a marriage was found being guarded by three
lions who apparently had chased off her captors, a policeman said Tuesday.
The girl, missing for a week, had been taken by seven men who wanted to force her to marry one of them, said Sgt. Wondimu Wedajo, speaking by telephone from the provincial capital of Bita Genet, about 350 miles southwest of Addis Ababa.
She was beaten repeatedly before she was found June 9 by police and relatives on the outskirts of Bita Genet, Wondimu said. She had been guarded by the lions for about half a day, he said.
"They stood guard until we found her and then they just left her like a gift and went back into the forest," Wondimu said.
If the lions had not come to her rescue, then it could have been much worse. Often these young girls are raped and severely beaten to force them to accept the marriage," he said.
Tilahun Kassa, a local government official who corroborated Wondimu's version of the events, said one of the men had wanted to marry the girl against her wishes.
"Everyone thinks this is some kind of miracle, because normally the lions would attack people," Wondimu said.
Hat tip ChasMartin (chas seems entirely fitting in light of Scheherazade)
and then we have those wonderful animal loving terrorists:

I love Lions. Probably one of them was named Simba and had a parrot and wild pig for friends. I've got to take some steaks to my nearest zoo tomorrow.
Obviously they knew better than eat the three scumbags, you know, taste like sh*t.
Your Title and first paragraph cracked me up.

Even vicious wild animals will protect a young child from the evil radical Islamic Devils. You can't tell me there is not a sign to the world from God.
Remember the Daniel and the lions. I bet if the perpetrators got into that Den, they would have been ripped to peices.

So what you are saying is that animals are more sentient than islamofacists. Moral of the story: always trust your pets' instincts. In fact, since those life sucking islamizoids are warned against having dogs, then everyone in America should get at least one. Some time I'll tell you the story of how my rottweiler dispersed a gaggle of "moderate" muslims protesting the presence of Jews on earth.

I guess we have the answer to the question: Why do Muslim men think other men are not to be trusted? In a culture where you "woo women" by beating and gang raping them (probably an excuse you can later use for burning them in bed or stoning them to death), ya gotta believe that your pals aren't particularly trustworthy with your woman. Mind blown. I can't even conceive of what these people are thinking.

Great! So here's what we do.
Send Peres to Elba, and put a lion in his place, so then they will protect the children of Israel instead of leaving them open to the vagaries of the Muslim maw.
This exchange would also work in a large part of the U.S. state department.

What a shame they didn't get a pic of the girl with the three lions still present.
