Save PBS now or Kill Taxpayer Funding of the Lefty Organ

If, like me, you have been disgusted for years about the anti Israel and pro left (I don't just mean liberal, I mean like, pro Castro, etc.) slant on public TV and radio, let them know about it. This is not just a petition going to some entity who can't really do anything to make changes, this is an opporturnity to contact the ombudsman there at this important juncture by supporting the new chairman who is being embattled in his efforts to bring balance to the broadcasts YOUR tax dollars pay for!Newshour

good example of a letter to PBS:

Ken Tomlinson is correct that PBS is seriously in need of voices on the right side of the ledger. We need to see more programming that gives air time to conservatives. When it does, PBS can truly say it is PUBLIC Broadcasting.

» Let Big Bird Fly on its own Power from Reasoned Audacity: Politics in Real Life
When should entertainment have claim on the public purse? Congress will reduce the NPR and PBS budget from $200,000,000 to a mere $100 million. Our friends on the left are Outraged! Outraged! Cartoon credit: Blue Girl's "better half" Our lefty... [Read More]

» Kill Big Bird, Buy a Raptor from Jack Yoest
There's a war on. It's been in all the papers. And we all have to pay for it. Sacrifice somewhere. But not the liberals at National People's Public Radio. They demand continued tax payer funding...for Big Bird. When should entertainment... [Read More]

This has never happened, I actually disagree with you. Not that PBS is left wing but that it deserves any support at all regardless of content. If the programing can’t stand on it’s own merit in the marketplace then why should I pay for it? Same thing with the National Endowment for the Arts.

Rancher YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! But that is not happening any time soon. Until such time and such action is taken, it can't be a mouthpiece for Soros, not with taxpayer money.
Thanks for the heads up
Pamela

I think we need to hold our ground here and kill it off! Systems don't reform, in general. Eventually the marketplace replaces one system with another. If you are going to fight the good fight, fight to win something worthwhile. Fight to kill it off.

Ayn Rand at 100: "Yours is the Glory"

  • Aynrandstamp_1

  • Speaking to the unnamed, unchampioned, beating heart of her new land, Ayn was to say: 'Yours is the glory.'"
A man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Man as an individual, as a creator. What's the most depraved type of human being? Not a sadist or a murderer or a sex maniac or a dictator; "The man without a purpose." Yet most people seem to go through their lives without a clearly defined purpose.

  • Life has Loveliness to sell,
    All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fires that sways and swing,
    And children's faces looking up,
    Holding wonder like a cup

    Life has Loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of Gold,
Scent of pinetrees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy stars that star the night.

Spend all you have for loveliness,
    Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of Peace
Count many a year of strife well lost
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.
