Once again, in the PWR (Pamela's Weekly Report), I genuflect and put forth my end thought for yet another eventful week and a fresh pic for all those requests.

What I don't understand is how political standards could be so wildly different. In the Public Square, The Right is held up to such a rigid standard of near flawlessness (or go the way of Trent Lott and/or Jack Ryan or Richard Nixon) while the Left can throw any shit out there that they want and are never taken to task. Clinton's shenanigans and Kerry's out-and-out lies (aka flipflopping), Byrd's latest "Republicans are Nazis comments" nothwithstanding, has anyone seen how Ted Kennedy quietly pulled his "hearts and minds speech" off his website"?
Hearts and Minds Taranto WSJ OpinionJournal
"Our military and the insurgents are fighting for the same thing--the hearts and minds of the people--and that is a battle we are not winning."--Ted Kennedy, Jan. 27
"Thousands of mostly black-clad Iraqis protested Tuesday outside a medical clinic where a suicide car bomber killed 125 people a day earlier, braving the threat of another attack as they waved clenched fists, condemned foreign fighters and chanted 'No to terrorism!' "--Associated Press, March 1
Interestingly, the text of Kennedy's infamous speech seems to have disappeared from his Web site.
I could understand the American public willingly being lead to metaphorical slaughter when the Big 3 were in charge and controlling the newsflow, but with myriad news outlets and information opportunties, how can Kos be garnering a top blog spot? Or Kerry come so damn close to capturing the White House? Or Howard Dean get away with calling Republicans evil? Or Rangel calling Islamic terrorists "discriminating"?I just dont get it. Intellectual laziness?
Where is the reason?Where is the logic?
The one light in the media tunnel has been FOX but for some unforseen reason (ratings slave?) they have abdicated their role of truth bearer and objective news provider. Was the weight too heavy for them to carry 27/7/365?I mean, think about it. In light of the historical events sweeping through the sands of the Middle East, the slaves in Niger, the genocide in Darfur, the jew killing and anti-semitism worldwide, the dhimmitude in EURABIA, the London Mayor, Terri Schiavo, China's closerthanthis friendship with Iran, Pakistan's Khan nuclear secret giveaway......FOX ran Scott Peterson all day Wednesday (the man was found guilty weeks ago for G-d's sake), Michael Jackson all day Monday and Tuesday, and Martha Stewart all day Friday.
The problem with FOX is that Ailes has drawn the wrong conclusions from his success. Ailes believes his feel good, happy face, "upbeat" approach to news is what keeps the fffffffolks coming back. And while a smiling face is certainly a pleasant change from the dray cups at CNN, it doesn't address the actual reason behind it's appeal. It is the center right that attracts us. Brit Hume attracts us.
And so there is one hope left, I say it again and again, the Blogosphere. Call me Broken Record, I do not care. But you should and you should care enough to sign the petition to STOP the restriction of free speech of the BLOGOSPHERE (click here).
